One more week and it is a full year since the NOA1 receipt date for my husband's AOS. How should we celebrate the fact that he doesn't have a green card yet? I am thinking that filing another service request is the perfect celebration. :bonk:

Wow, I wonder what their record is of not issuing a GC? For once I am speechless, just shaking my head.

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Good Morning everyone, it was another bad day here in Texas, the ice was lethal yesterday, so obviously I missed another day at work, but in back today and by the looks of the snow asking right now I might just get stranded!

Anyways no news from me regarding the GC.. No news is good news though right? Oh wait we've had no news for almost a year

Good morning Natonstan,

Nothing much to tell you other than the couple of approvals, one per day and what seems a mass NPIW letter sending, they must send them in batches.

Also, apparently when you apply for your EAD the renewal of it, it seems you get a biometrics letter too. Although one person sent off for it and has since got a message to say that a GC card is on its way, at least I think it's a GC and not a EAD card, as I don't think they have had another biometrics appointment.

And that's it really, everyone waiting with baited breath. Oh yeah forgot it seems that when people now put in service requests, they end in MSC instead of a field office so you know where your case is, a bit of transparency perhaps?

I realize that there is no any help to make SR, call, Info Pass even writing a letter to your senator. All they can tell is DELAY.

How about all of us write one letter complaining them it is SO SLOW for us. And it is so unfair for us. USCIS originally mitigate the local field office's pressure, Then USCIS decides to some cases which do not need interview stay in NBC center. but now all the local field office is much ahead the NBC center.

our cases sent almost a year. and the process time looks even slower than before.

Who can tell me in what way we can do to let USCIS notice us?

Could we select a representative to write a letter and we sign the letter then send to USCIS NBC center or president?

It is cases like yours and others with early and mid-Marc NOA's outstanding and later NOA approvals boldly illustrates the true injustice of this system towards us and gives us little hope for anything shorter than a year (and beyond) at this point.

And to answer the question of how long this could actually take, here's a cheery thought. Our lawyer told us a story of a couple in similar circumstances a few years back who's case took 3 years to adjudicated And it was not lost. No amount of cajoling could get it moving and no reason for it...Just to give you pause regarding past actions of this devilish agency...

Well to be honest I try to be positive as I possibly can be, that is until I realised rather than things speeding up, now they have extra staff and DACA has been postponed, I am seeing the waiting time get longer. I looked at the beginning of this thread and it seems there was a decision within 10 months, now it seems it's a year or more. Just doesn't make any sense.

The only positive thing lately is they aren't sending service requests to field offices that don't have your file, they are actually answering them directly from the service centre in Missouri. Also, with a new batch of NPIW's just sent out it doesn't seem they have played catch up. It's depressing, but having worked at a call centre as an account manager in my past, I know how depressing it is to receive calls from anxious, angry, stressed people and not being able to help them due to bureaucracy and red tape. I am sure the people working there would love to see some movement with GC's too, instead of having people shouting and screaming at them! Here's hoping

Shell, we absolutely know that's not the case but you're right that this whole process lacks transparency!

So what we need to do is collate the evidence and that would ideally happen when someone goes for an info pass so they can probe into it and get some more information straight from the horses mouth.

They can ask what is going on, what happens to files, how long do they stay at NBC. (around 10 months or so from what I can gather). How long does it take for processing with the dreaded letter etc. How do they assess which files they send out and when, as we know it's not always in chronological order.

I have also looked at earlier posts when this thread originally started and most people were waiting 10 months on average, now it's more likely to be 12 months or more.

It seems to be the case also that if you filed after June you're most likely to get an rfe for a new medical. We also now know that those fingerprints that haunt our dreams actually only last a year, before they need to be renewed if you haven't received your GC.
