They're likely referring to the scaremongering statement from the USCIS union last year. It simply referred to the plan to expand eligibility for interview waiver cases. I highly doubt there's any way

Hmmmm. All I see out of the window is snow. I've actually been considering a trip to the UK FOR THE WEATHER! I have never ever contemplated such a thing before. Damn bleak Midwest winter ... softly wind may moan.

Apparently from weekend and onwards from what I can see we wont be in the minus 20 or so celcius any more. In fact in around a fortnight's time we will be in the 50s, for a short while, so spring is defo on it's way.

I went to England in December until January and it was absolutely freezing. Rain, artic winds, frost, sleet, snow, they had the lot and I even got the flu, just to make me a tad happier, not to mention my son had a problem with his heating he had no thermostat in the house he had just moved into. It was freezing. I sat there for weeks, before the plumber finally made an appearance just wishing I was back in the USA in our nice warm home.

Then I got home they had, had a mild December and January until I arrived that is and then it all started, storm after storm, after storm. Last night on the news it said it had been the coldest winter in Pennsylvania since records began. I was sat there, thinking yeah that figures!!

I didn't know that a new biometrics appointment is required for an EAD renewal!

That is just horrible. You also have to send your current card (combo card) in with the renewal, so you can't travel before they issue you a new card...

No, you don't have to send an actual card, just a copy of both sides of your EAD

Well, today marks the 1 year anniversary of being married (on paper at least-- not the day we'll actually celebrate), so I finally called and filed a service request. We'll see what comes of it I guess.

As for the weather, I was in shorts and a t-shirt a few days ago! Though today there's freezing rain in the area. Still a step up from the Canadian winter's I'm used to experiencing :P

shorts and t shirts, what are those? I have forgotten it has been that long! Hope you hear from the service request. Hope we get lots and lots of approvals this week before March enters.

Definitely don't have to send the physical EAD combo card. Just the NOA and photocopy of the front and back of the combo card... Along with the other required documents for renewal.

05-18-2022: Filed N-400 online. Received online NOA and Biometrics re-use.

06-03-2022: Interview scheduled (online notice).

06-10-2022: Interview letter received via USPS.

07-11-2022: Naturalization Interview

I received the biometric letter today for renewal EAD which will taken placed on 3/2/2015. I will put all my hopes on the GC for this week, otherwise I have to go for appointment.

New Journey AOS:

My fiancee came to US on the 8th of March, 2014 under K-1 visa at Newark, NJ Airport for POE.

Applied Social Security Number on the 10 of March, 2014.

Married on the 13th of March, 2014.

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131 on the 15th of March, 2014.

Received EAD on June 7, 2014.

Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on July 1, 2014 date 6/27

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

Welcome notice was mailed on 04/01/2015.

Received Welcome Notice on 04/08/2015.

Card was mailed to me/picked up by USPS on 04/08/2015.

Received GC on 4/10/2015.

Someone over in the June filers thread is reporting that they've got Green Card approval after a September NPIW letter... gives some hope.

They do seem to be speeding up, though, judging by the number of approvals. Congrats to you all!

Just thought you'd guys like to know, so you have hope, that we were approved today! We submitted our application late March and had a NPIW of June 27th! There's movement! My medical was done November 2013 and I had no RFE so fingers crossed that you guys don't as well! I also did one service request early January. I first got a letter from the Boston office saying that my case wasn't there (which I already knew) and that they'd be forwarding it to the appropriate location. On Feb. 14th I got an email from USCIS saying the usual due to workload factors not related to my case yada yada yada my case is delayed....and then 9 days letter card production!

For those of you who have seen the light at the end of the AOS tunnel I have a a few questions. How long from receiving your welcome notice did you have the card in your hand? As you can see below it says it should arrive April 24th...it takes two months?! And what is ADIT processing? Hopefully not another headache!

"On February 23, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSC149XXXXXX1. Please follow the

instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by April 24, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later."

Congratulations! Ady! I think you will get your GC by next week.

I'm in Boston too, still waiting and waiting....Can you tell me what is your NOA date?
