Hi Friends,

I have a question. My case is I-485 and I applied on 19 June. 14. My case in USCIS says that my case is in Nebreska, but I got a letter from National Benefits Center about NPIW on 25 Sep.14. Right now, I don't know whete my filling, location, and local office is. Would u please help me how can recognize it. Thanks

I sent mine on Feb 5th and haven't received anything either.

Well the weird thing is I never even did a service request, I just randomly have the message down at the bottom of my tracking page saying on February 11th we completed your service request and mailed a notice, for whats its worth its now almost 7 months since the NPIW letter

I don't think you can do a service request until 6 months after the letter. I haven't got to that stage yet, I am so far down the line that I don't expect to hear a thing for a few months yet. However, If you do get any correspondence of any kind, look at the last digits. For example DAL, will mean its in Dallas, FL, Florida etc. Yours is probably still at the NBC collecting dust. Mine says at Nebraska, but that doesn't mean anything! It wont go on what field office you come under either, that seems to be completely random, although saying that some do go to their local field offices. Look at the processing time for your local office. After 6 months of the date on the letter do a service request I guess, see if you can gain some information, you can do this via email! Hope that helps, but unfortunately it is just a waiting game and they are saying it can now take up to a year! Welcome to the gravy train or should I say the snail train?!?!

Can only be two things, either you have your welcome letter or they are saying there is a delay .I will keep my fingers crossed for you that it is the welcome letter. We know its at Dallas already, so I cant really see a delay!

I, sadly, check the mail with eagerness everyday. I am hoping I am going to get some type of update, my wife has never seen anyone get that excited for mail. Been 3 months since my NPIW.

I will probably apply to renew my EAD in May, because I am not expecting my GC anytime soo

It's been 2 months since mine. Post/mail, doesn't come to our house as we live in a gated community, so my husband picks it up on his way home from work at the post office here on the complex. However, I am not expecting any thing for a few months. Funnily enough, they sent me the NPIW, but they didn't put it on their website that they had sent a letter out ... I was in England at the time visiting my son, so my husband told me over the web cam that a letter had arrived. I checked on the USCIS site, but no message to say they had posted a letter out to me. So that in mind, I wont be surprised if one day without warning I get a Welcome Letter to the USA. I am going to frame it!
