I know a couple who received their waiver letter in March and they've been calling uscis multiple times and each time they were told to wait. Finally, uscis gave up and notified them that their document are lost and they need to apply for a green card again. It makes me kind of nervous.

Now that's the time to get a Congressman involved, they trashed a constituent big time. If there was ever justification for an expedited review, this is one...

In a bureacracy this big, that thought has been always on our mind...and probably many of us as well...

Filed AOS on March 3, 2014 and had receipt on March 13, 2014. received interview waiver letter on June 21 asking me to wait for 6 months, The 6 months is due on Dec 21 this week..THEN I just received another letter from USCIS dated November 21, asking me to wait another 6 months (next year May, 2015).

I called USCIS and spoke to a Tier 2 (immigration Officer) but he just asked me to wait for the 2nd 6 months . This doesn't make sense to me a bit.

Do you guys understand the significance of that date (11/21/14)? That's the day after the President announced his executive action on deferred action of deportation with work authorizations. And you know what that means? 5 million people just jumped the line in front of us. It will take many man hours to process all of those and he just gave them priority...I may be wrong but I think we've been put on the back burner on a slow (very slow) simmer...and even though my Senators office just got information from USCIS (12/15/14) that our file will be processed by 9-12 months after receipt, I'd be willing to bet we get this letter soon as well...(PWI letter 6/27/14)

It doesn't mean anything of the sort. It may be related, but please don't post your speculation as if it's fact.

There have been many, many approvals of waiver cases since 11/21. There is one case that we know of that's received a further 6 month delay, and we don't know anything about the specifics of that case or why it might be delayed.

One example does not make a trend.

2013 7/15 I-129F sent, 7/18 received Dallas lockbox, 7/22 NOA1, 10/22 NOA2, 11/15 NVC Case Created, 11/20 NVC Shipped, 11/25 Consulate received, 11/28 Packet 3 received/returned, 11/29 Medical, 12/9 Packet 4 received

2014 1/9 Interview - Approved, 1/15 CEAC - Issued, 1/17 Visa in hand, 2/5 POE: LAX, 4/4 Married!, 4/8 AOS/EAD/AP filed, 4/14 NOA1, 5/7 Walk-in biometrics, 5/19 EAD/AP approved (expedited), 5/22 EAD/AP mailed, 5/23 EAD/AP received, 7/29 Interview waiver letter

2015 4/13 AOS approved (no interview), 4/22 Green card received

2017 1/17 I-751 ROC filed (VSC), 1/23 NOA, 2/28 Biometrics

2018 1/31 ROC approved

2020 1/14 N400 filed

Timeline

Hi everyone just wanted to give you a quick update. I finally received my greencard:)

We filed for AOS and EAD/AP January 29, 2014. We moved halfway across the country so we had to change address right after my biometric appointment. We then got EAD and AP send to my new address. But a month later we got the potential interview Waiver Case letter - send to the OLD ADDRESS (May, 14, 2014). We then had to fix the address issue again and all I could to was hope that they will send everything else to the right address (like they did before the Interview Waiver Letter).

So we got the Interview Waiver Case letter in May. We waited till the 6 months mark passed by and I filed an online service request because we where out to the normal processing time. Never heard an answer or anything regarding that. So I waited another 2 months (December, 03, 2014) to file another online service request. This time the strangest thing happened.

Three days after I filed the service request - My online status changed to Card/Document Production!!!! An hour later I went to the mailbox to find a letter from USCIS stating that they don't know when I will be getting my green card and I need to wait longer etc. Basically my answer to my service request.

On December 12, 2014 my status changed to Card Mailed. But I never got the tracking number or info that it was picked up my ups.

Three days later (12/15/14) the greencard just "showed up" in my mailbox.

I am so relieved this long journey is over for now.

AOS took 320 Days

From filing the K1 to receiving the Greencard we waited almost 710 days!
