Ok! I have been stalking the NVC because things change everyday infact by the hour.

I called the day before for status on my hubby's and mom's case and was told when it was received and it would take 20 bizness days(for hubby NVC received on 08/15 - 20 biz days is 9/13/13 and for mom was rcvd 08/26 20 biz days will be 9/24).

Called last night and was told they changed the waiting time now to 30 bizness days bcos of back log. Although the lady was a sweetheart, I almost passed out.

So with this hubby's is 9/27 and mom's 10/08. I believe they should hire more people to process.

The wait is excruciating. I am not a patient person but this is painful.

Well there's nothing else one can do but wait(cray5ol.gif).

Ohh we waited 7 more months at USCIS now we are stocked between USCIS and NVC,

Our NOA2 date is 07/30 its already passed 1 month and husband has not get anything from NVC

Maybe thats silly question but how do you know when NVC gets your file, does they send you any notification about that?

Being stuck between USCIS and NVC also happened to me. When it got past the 30 day mark, not getting any satisfactory answers from USCIS or NVC, I contacted the office of Sen Mark Kirk, R-Ill. I see you are in Chicago and suggest that you do the same. His office was quite helpful...they found my approved petition sitting in the USCIS Chicago field office, and were told it would be to the NVC within 2 weeks....and it was. Just check out Sen Kirk's website, there is a page to make immigration inquiries and they responded to mine in less than 1 hour and got an answer from USCIS the day after they received my signed authorization to call on my behalf.

Yes, NVC sends an email when they have logged in your petition, but call and you can find out sooner !
