Changing Final Address at POE

Does anybody know of any issues or experiences of changing the final US address at the port of entry?

I have my DV which expires in mid-December 2013.

I am looking to travel to NYC and work there in November - should I try to change my address before I go through immigration?

I'm curious to know if anybody else has done this and what their experience was.

I can see this thread from 2010 shows success but I wanted to double check.

I guess one way to inspire responses is:

- are you asked at POE whether your final address has changed?

- if so -is it better to update it before hand using the A-11?

Replying because no-one else is... I haven't entered yet so can't answer what they ask you on entry, however very recently someone on my home country forum reported changing their address at port of entry and it wasn't a problem, so I assume you'll be fine. Remember once in the US you need to inform USCIS of any change of address until you become a citizen.

As an update, I changed my address at the POE by crossing out the existing address and providing my new one.

My SSN still got mailed to my old address and I am still awaiting Green Card from 28 October.
