Hello today was my AOS interview and its sad to say that my FBI namecheck is still pending :( Although the Officer told me that i was approved :). Now i am kinda confused. First, i did not get my passport stamped but it seems like the officer took my I-94 from my passport. Do you think that its a good sign of me getting approved upon pending FBI namecheck. Oh yeah my interview was at SANTA ANA and my interviewer's name is Armando ponce :)

Congratulations and hope your FBI check is completed soon. Here is a forum thread I am not sure you knew about this and it has others in the same situation approved and pending FBI checks. Congrats again!

Mary, post was either moved or deleted.

Question about FBI checks and how they impact/delay the delivery of the G.C. My wife's AOS interview is 12/11/06 in L.A. and I've read all the post how the FBI name check is holding up their G.C., now I assume the name check is conducted on her new married name (my surname)?? I also assume they start this FBI name check WAY before the interview instead of waiting to the last minute? Lots of assumptions, but I figure that me having a defense contractor DoD clearance has to carry some weight and could help to speed the name check process??

Thanks

Sorry but your DoD clearance will carry absolutely no weight whatsoever for your wifes clearance, which will be run on her maiden name, her married name, and several combinations and aliases of both. The check began shortly after you filed.
