Hi there

Im so frustrated not receiving my interview date from the US Embassy London. My medical exam. report was sent to London Embassy on 16 July 2013, I've been waiting for 7 weeks and have exhausted all the contact channels trying to contact them to find out when I can expect an interview date from them with absolutely no luck at all.

I have sent messages via this link http://london.usemba...ntact_form.html for a number of times and received no response.

Does any one have similar case like mine, if you have .....could you share your experience how you got hold of them please.

Many thanks

Debbie

Hi Debbie,

So sorry to hear you have been waiting for so long... you must be going nuts and I really do feel for you. I had my medical 20th Aug and am going stir crazy waiting for something from the Embassy, but clearly this is nothing compared to your wait. For what it's worth, I've tried the following ways to get in touch with them (with limited/non-existent success):

1. http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html as you suggested above (currently no response on 6th working day after sending)

2. Calling 020 3608 6998 - probably the biggest waste of time ever... they either tell me they have no access to information or that everything is fine and I should wait patiently for an appointment to be scheduled. To be honest I no longer believe a word any of them say now (see no.5 below).

3. Emailing 'nvcinquiry@state.gov' this was the last thing that an operator on the phone line told me to do (currently no response on 2nd working day after sending).

4. My fiancee has been calling the Dept of State in America (not sure of this number off top of my head). They seem to be the only ones who have told us any kind of useful information. They told us last week that the interview had not been scheduled as the Packet 3 forms (DS-2001 etc etc) had not been received by the Embassy! Despite them being sent recorded delivery in mid August. Shame that one of the nice phone operators wasn't able to tell me that.... But at least they seem to have access to some kind of information on my file... so they can now tell us that they have all the medical results, Packet 3

5. My fiancee has also been in touch with her local congressman's office (throughout this whole process, since the K1 was submitted to USCIS) and they informed us they would email the Embassy to see if they can get any information.

These are all the ways we can think of getting in touch with the Embassy, but none have actually been successful yet. So I probably haven't actually told you anything useful... I still find it hard to believe that it is impossible to get in touch with anyone. When I explain to people the process they simply don't believe that this is how the system works and that you can't call another number or something!

If anyone has any other suggestions then please share them here.

Debbie I hope you get some news asap (or even better have already heard something during the past week)

Best wishes

Tom
