Re-use Medical for AOS

I have read online that I can use my Medical from K1 VISA for my AOS once inside thte United States. If I have to give the consulate the CD and the Medical package how is it that I can re-use it? Do they just check on file to see that it is still valid? I cannot open the medical package as it is sealed for the consulate. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Get a copy of the ds3025

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

I just spoke to the pannel physician that did my original medical they said they cannot provide copies of anything and I have to get another exam done in the states for AOS.
