We are Sept 24th filers. It took a little over a week to get everything accepted by USCIS, and about another week until we received the bio appointment, (October 31st.) I'm hoping the EA doesn't take very long. The AP isn't as important. We're probably not going anywhere until next year anyway.

Here's hoping everyone gets approved soon!!!

Received Notification about a RFE on Oct 11. Got the yellow RFE letter in the mail exactly 7 days later on Oct 18.. requesting a letter of my wife's employer as proof of her employment.. HR is overnighting it to her from NYC on Wednesday. Hopefully that means I receive the I-765 soon once the RFE response has been reviewed..

PS: Calling USCIS to find out what the RFE is for is futile.. We wanted to be proactive and resolve the RFE quickly.. BUT their 'customer service' is utterly usesless. They read the current status off of their screen, the same paragraph you see in your Portfolio. Felt like talking to a robot.. Anyhow, they simply won't/can't tell you.

Yeah i know of other person who got their EAD and AP approved in about 20 days (http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?cfl=0&id=168867). While i'm happy for these people getting their cases resolved quite fast, it's kind of bitter having to wait for your own being stuck for months. >:(

Shouldn't the message on USCIS site be changed after we all done biometrics? It's still the same like before the biometrics and when I first received the NOA1 :/

Does this mean approval?

Card/ Document Production

On October 22, 2013 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

It's just for the EAD but I priority date is October 1st for the 485. Initially I was excited then now i'm not sure I did my biometrics the same day about 5hrs before I got the notice. But It went straight from intial Review to Card\document Production. so im not too sure

fingers crossed
