September filer here! Just finished with the biometrics today. So glad the USCIS, with regards to processing of green cards, isn't affected by the government shutdown.

July 13, 2013 = Arrived in the U.S. (Port of Entry: Hawaii)

August 3, 2013 = Got married!

August 29, 2013 = Mailed application for Adjustment of Status

September 7, 2013 = Received NOA1

October 1, 2013 = Biometrics done.

November 20, 2013 = Scheduled interview.

December 2, 2013 = Green Card received! The letter said they approved my application on Nov 22.

hopefully the early walk-in cuts the wait short. It's frustrating going from a high-paying professional job to sitting around most of the day.

How long after your NOA1s did you receive your bio appointment latter?

I had an appointment, it was 2 weeks after my NOA1 that I got that letter for my appointment.

in Seattle office there are no walk - in allowed without an appointment letter. A woman was there and the lady that worked there told her they were full and couldn't do biometrics without a letter

We "walked into" the Bio Appointment today.

The guard hassled us. There is a clear appointment date on the letter and it's not today!

We explained we were in the area and busy on our date.

He had to check with the supervisor.

Someone spoke to us, emphasized a number of times that we were supposed to go through the paperwork to change the date. That there would be other dates we had to stick to etc. That they wanted us to come on the assigned day.

However, she said she wasn't about to turn us away and warned again that we needed to wait and if they got busy it may be a while.

I said we would be happy to wait as long as necessary.

There were only 3 people there and we were back in the car and on the road in 30 min :-)

Ultimately, they were very nice but the guard reminded me of the social security office.

We of course gave an excellent review in the survey ;-)
