2014-00-00 (Day 00): Approval Date

2014-00-00 (Day 00): Greencard Received

As soon as I did that, USCIS must have noticed and they scheduled me for Jan 14. :-)

There are alot of folks in the same leaky boat. The one thing that keeps me going is having my wife here with me.

Yes, in general im not too bothered, at the end of the day we're here, happily (hopefully) married and most of us already able to work and travel and maybe some lucky ones already working ;-)

I know, I was so happy when I got my EAD! I have waited for so long already, what's a few more weeks. But sometimes I just want to reach the finish line asap

We received our NOA2 today. The interview appointment letter.

I'm guessing that the list of ####### to bring is just a form letter...

For example...

San Francisco wants

1) I-693 sealed if not already supplied...we did already supplied even though as a recent K-1 it wasn't required.

2) I-864 BS asking for current employment letters, pay stubs, and certified IRS printouts (transcripts?) or most recent return and proof that sponsor is US citizen or LPR... Our Employer letter is less than 6 months old, sent spouse's passport, as a K-1 it sure would be difficult to get this far without this stuff.

3) Again petitioners birth certificate and evidence of citizenship or LPR

4) Again spouse's birth certificate and evidence of citizenship or LPR

5) supporting evidence yada yada yada.

I feel like Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec pay stubs will bring our file current.

As of date of interview, USC' spouse's employer letter is only 5 months and 20 days since generated for the K-1 interview. Do we need a new one?

USC's passport in lieu of birth certificate is OK right?

We have joint bank, health insurance, utility bills, and a social security card in married name for our address.

Why ask us for all that irrelevant #######?

We won't take a new employer letter as we provided once in May and once in September.. I mean we will be bringing recent pay stubs I think that proves that he works there already .

But don't forget photos and maybe congratulations cards!

We have everything you said except for insurance because I have my own insurance. And bills because we live with 3 roommates so it's in ones name only. But my name is on the lease which is good.

I had my interview yesterday and everything went ok. I will write a review as soon as I get my card. I had so much evidence but I gave the photos for him to see and a few other stuff. Basically he said he will approve us but he has to review our application again to see if he needs anything else. My husband said to relax and we are approved. I am like welllll why is the case status not updated

and not to keep with the suspense, he ask us the basic typical stuff.

BTW READ THIS and I will write a new topic about this. I put my maiden name into my last name (because I didn't have one) and the interviewer said this is not possible because it is a name change and I can do it only through court order and I said ok then lets keep the new last name and skip the middle one. So he also said we cannot change it so easily through naturalization too so court order , doesnt last long and it is wise to change the passport name too but my embassy is far away in CA so I thought meh when the passport expires then I will change it ^^
