*On 08/01/14 I received a checklist via email and responded right away. Over a month later, on 09/09/14, I received the hard-copy in the mail. Upon reading the hard-copy, I found that NVC made a mistake and emailed me the wrong checklist. I contacted a supervisor at NVC and she instructed me to write a letter of explanation to accompany my "real" checklist response. She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!

Filed for AOS/I-130 package on Sept 25, RFE along the way (sorry haven't set up a timeline but if you go back in the thread you'll find my information)

Update on I-765 toay:

The USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card on November 26, 2013. The USPS tracking number assigned is xxxxxxxxxxxx

62 days from initial filing to the mailing of the card. RFE had put everything on hold for a month but idk if it would've been processed faster (an entire month faster, i.e. end of October) had it not been for the RFE. I do, however, think that the early walk-in helped speed it up to some extent

Just received our interview date for January 3rd. that's 27 days before our.2 year anniversary. Should we reschedule and hope for a date in February in order to get the 10 year card?

I don't think you can get a 10 year card. With K1 at least. Normally you take 2 year card and then you have to file for Naturalization .

We didn't need a k1, we got married on January 30, 2013. we decided spontaneously during my last visit that I should stay for the sake of our relationship so we filed a i-130/I-485 concurrent application :)

I don't think you can get a 10 year card. With K1 at least. Normally you take 2 year card and then you have to file for Naturalization .
