$2000!! Oh my I am sorry. I hope you will find a job soon and you can expedite your EAD

I've had multiple job offers after I started applying when I thought I'd be getting the EAD soon. Had to turn them all down in the end. I didn't know that that was even possible?! Does the prospective employer have to put it into written form i.e. that they would like to hire me? I surmise that I would have to make an infopass appointment to make a case for it?

Did you have your biometrics yet?

It is possible to expedite but it depends on individual case. you can either call or do infopass. Some examples here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/267186-expedited-processing-for-ead-i-765/?p=4126844

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/438209-early-walk-in-biometrics-speeds-up-ead-or-not/?p=6329964

Normal processing time for EAD is on average 67 days and only very few lucky ones get their EADs in less than 60 days. RFE doesnt usually affect that timeline. (its mainly for i-485)

It is not where I breathe but where I love that I live.

It's hard to help you with an estimate if you don't fill in your timeline, it's not that hard and you'll get a better idea of when you may receive your documents, in my case VisaJourney was spot-on with the predicted dates.

Hi All,

Late September filer here.

K1 --> GC AOS

Sept 20th NOA1 date for EAD (I-765) and AP (I-131)

Sep 24th NOA1 date for I-485

My name wasn't in my mailbox so post office returned everything I received (I-797C & Biometrics letter) back to uscis. I called in and got a copy of my biometrics letter (10/24) faxed to me so I could make my appointment in Baltimore.

My status changed on 10/30 to say that mail was returned and to call them to update address. I did, and they put in a service request and I was supposed to receive something by yesterday.

Just got off the phone with Level 1 Customer Service rep and was told to wait an additional 30 days for a response to my service request. She also said that it was not showing up as an RFE in her system, and that they would continue to process my cases regardless of the post office issue.

I started looking for work and may have a job offer as early as next week, so if that's the case will try to expedite my EAD.

Today is day 56 since NOA1 for EAD/AP.

Will keep everyone posted.

I'm hoping the mid-late September filers start to receive some decisions soon!

Long story short - make sure you put your name in your mailbox!!

EAD, AP, and I-130 still pending at Initial Review.. uhm? Guess it's happened to a few people and their timelines revealed that they had their EAD and stuff approved shorty before they received their greencard or cancelled because they received the greencard before the rest. Ha! Alas, finally some movement

So I guess my question is are we beyond the RFE stage on the I-485 if we have moved to testing and interview? It seems like MTS got his RFE early and has advance through that stage to Testing and Interview. Hence my question.

Congrats MTS!

Congrats right back at ya! I surmise that we're past the RFE stage. You still have to bring pictures and whatever else to substantiate your bona fide marriage to the interview, though.

We have received 4 texts/emails regarding the EAD. Last Wednesday, Friday, and 2 yesterday. The first one yesterday provided a tracking number, but I didn't write it down. And the second update yesterday just says that it was mailed...so there's no way to see the tracking number anymore. But we're thrilled that it's finally on its way!

What is everyone doing to prepare for the interview? We have tons of pictures, but not much "co-mingling" documentation.

We have a joint bank account and he's on my employee based health insurance. I just purchased my house last year and we plan to sell it next year, so there is no point in adding him to that. Once we receive the EAD, he will get a drivers license with the same address. Then we can add him to the car insurance. We have some boarding passes of trips we've made together here in the US since he arrived. But that's about all we have.

Just curious what everyone else is collecting along the way.
