We need some more football talk in here. Especially now that the first game is tonight.

Broncos hosting the Ravens. Who do you think will win? Will Welker click with Manning like he did with Brady? Is Flacco really an elite quarterback?

Who do you think will be the team to beat this year? Who will surprise us? And, most importantly, who is YOUR team?

Let's get ready for some football!

I would say that my prediction for the AFC would be Denver and for the NFC San Francisco. Although I wouldn't be surprised to see Seattle make a run and I would love to see the Texans in the Super Bowl.

My team is the Cowboys, so it will probably be another season of disappointment. crying.gif

I'm also curious to see how RG3 does this year. I hope he comes back strong; he's a really outstanding kid. I hope he does great and his team sucks.

Born and raised in Mass, so Pats fan here. Hoping the Pats can win one more before Brady calls it quits. They've come real close but can't seem to win that last game.

I'm torn on Welker leaving, he's a great receiver and his production will be missed, but I believe he cost the Pats a Superbowl 2 years ago against the Giants when he dropped that easy pass in the 4th quarter that would have given the Pats the win. For some reason I can't seem to let that dropped pass go when I think of Welker as a great receiver. I have Welker on my fantasy team, so I'm pulling for him this year.

Peyton Manning lit it up last night with 7 touchdowns, two to Welker. That was the first time an NFL QB threw for 7 touchdowns since the 1940's.

No kidding. Manning looks as good as he ever has and looks ready for another undefeated stretch to begin his season. Heck, with a performance like that, they look like they might repeat the Pats' 2007 feat and go 16-0. But we'll see. It's a long season. I just hope that my Chargers can figure out a way to slow them down.

And another powerful offensive performance by the Patriots. They are 4-1, with the meat of their schedule coming up. I see at least 4 more losses this year, and possibly more. No Wilfork so teams will run all over them. Today was painful to watch, and I have a funny feeling with New Orleans coming to town next Sunday that they will be humiliated at home. Ditto when Denver arrives in Foxboro next month.
