Posting pictures of women when their consent is given - who cares

Posting pictures of women when their consent is not explicitly given but the posting isn't voyeuristic in nature (i.e. "here are some women walking down the street" not "here are some women whose tits are MASSIVE and I totally took this pic when they weren't looking") - who cares

Posting pictures of women when their consent is not explicitly given but the posting is for the purpose of titillation (see above) - not cool

Posting pictures of children when their consent is not given for the purpose of titillation - not cool

Honestly It was a national Geographic style pic of a school kids in their best uniform on a special day, and I think he was pointing out how they are raised different

The fact that they may not be over 18 is relevant. These pictures weren't posted as "hey guys, look at this cool cultural event!" They were posted as "look at these hot young things in their short skirts." Posting pictures of children for titillation is not just problematic, it is potentially illegal.

Women and girls are not asking for it just because they exist in the world. Don't be disingenuous about this. There was a reason these pictures were posted and it is not 100% innocent. I take this stuff seriously, and so should the mods.

I would take it as he is thinking it is i inappropriate.

It certainly was not as bad as the many many posts made it out to be.

I am a very big advocate of huge punishment for monsters that hurt kids, so it's not a subject I think should be joked about, but honestly i don't see it

My question with this whole debate (and I'm sure the point Gary is making as well) is these aren't "little girls." They're women. Maybe they're not 18 yet (not that it matters in Ukraine anyway) but they're still being treated as women and in some cultures, that's acceptable. The fact that we don't treat our young ladies here as women could be why we have so many issues with gender roles and sexual identity issues.

i agree it's a maybe borderline thing...Talking about him getting in trouble outside of VJ for basically a National Geographic pic is absurd..
