A quick question....does anyone know if interviews are always held in the city where the couple lives? I am in Orlando and I have seen somewhere that it is one of the busiest field offices in the country. Could it happen that I would have to go to Miami or Jacksonville for the interview?

A quick question....does anyone know if interviews are always held in the city where the couple lives? I am in Orlando and I have seen somewhere that it is one of the busiest field offices in the country. Could it happen that I would have to go to Miami or Jacksonville for the interview?

I'm not sure. In your biometric app will say when and where you should go to the interview. When I got my bio.app I will tell you ;)

Mine is 2.5 hours away, really consider doing the walk-in, what do you guys think? Just got my letter today :)

J-1 student for 2007-2008, F-1 student since 2008 for high school, then full-time undergraduate degree from 2009-present, renewed F1 early on in 2013.

My husband and I have a similar timeline to yours, but our status online still shows in "Acceptance." I wonder why ours has not changed to "Testing and Interview" yet.

Both of you, did you do the walk in in San Diego or Chula Vista? How did it go? (I think it was mentioned earlier in the thread, couldn't check from my phone). I'm expecting to get the appointment letter today or this week.

Edit: I see antvas went to Chula Vista in the afternoon, that was my plan too (easier to drive to than San Diego. We live in North San Diego county so an hour away from either).

I did in chula vista. Arrived there at 2PM. The lady told me to come back at 3:30PM or come back in the actual appointment date or reschedule it. I waited in the nearby area and tried again at 3:10PM. Everything was done by 3:40PM.

Fellow September filer here too...filed AOS packet (adjusting from tourist visa from looooong ago) a few weeks back. Have biometrics appointment set for next Monday at 2 pm. At least I'm glad it's in the Grand Rapids area and not Detroit area...

But yes, definitely best of wishes to the rest of you in the filing process as well

For ours it's just a location in Los Angeles near us. Time and date a month from when we first sent it in which was the 16th of September - so our scheduled biometrics is October 16th. We were going to go early but uncertain now that the govt has shut down :-/
