Received the biometrics letter yesterday. I'm house sitting now so my ASC is 2.5 hours away in Tampa. Wondering if Walk-Ins really do pay. Seems like statuses move about 3 days AFTER the scheduled Biometrics data almost regardless of whether or not an early walk-in occurs.

Walk-in appointment data is 10/15... so a bit away.

The Tampa ASC has a note asking people to come only during their appointment... wondering if our walk-in would be refused. Will let you know what we do and how it goes.

So... We did a walk-in in Ft Myers. Empty parking lot, I sat in the car expecting a long wait. In 30 seconds my wife waved me in. One other family was there and we were seen immediately! Great experience and really friendly staff considering it wasn't our ASC or appointment date.

I know it's early still but I jump at every text I receive hoping it's the NOA1s! From comparing with others I could get mins as early as today. It wOuld definitely bring me some peace of mind!

I'm also in a hurry to get my case number so I can call infopass for expedited AP: my grandfather is very sick and we have a flight to paris scheduled for October 17. We booked it months ago before starting the aos process, then thought we had to give the trip up (non refundable, non changeable) but we were ok with it (We decided we would visit my family in May next year instead) but know I received bad news from home and we need to get there asap. My grandmother is sending me a letter from the doctor, however it will be in French, I'm guessing I need a certified translation. Hopefully AP will be granted, We'll see. ..

Sent mine on the 17th of september and it was received on the 18th, and we are yet to receive any texts and emails. Don't really know what's going on

It took us 7 calendar days to get the text.. and then it was at like 1am. Maybe in a few hours you'll get woken up by the text! Good luck and relax. No worries, it seems like 7 - 9 days is about right for your NOA email/text.. then 2-3 days later for your hard-copy. Then another 1 - 3 days for the biometrics. I've looked at a lot of schedules and here is a very rough guide to what you can expect based on your filing date and what I've seen from other people. All times are AVERAGE though... so your may vary, particularly with an RFE.

Sept 18 (Day 1) - Received

Sept 25 (Day 7) - NOA email/text

Sept 30 (Day 12) - NOA mail

Oct 2 (Day 14) - Biometrics invitation

Oct 23ish (Day 35) - Biometrics date

Oct 29ish (Day 41) - Update to Interview Status

Nov 7ish (Day 50) - Interview date via email

Nov 9ish (Day 52) - Interview invitation mail

Nov 20 (Day 61) - EAD approval/notification of production

Dec 2 (Day 73) - EAD received

Dec 16 - Interview

Dec 23 - Greencard production notice

These are all completely theoretical dates but they represent what you might see. No worries about NOA yet as you can see :)

Oops. I sent my I-131 in on Friday, delivered Monday. I was a little confused by the form so I filed it separately. In my haste to mail it, I forgot to add 2 photos to the envelope. #######. I wonder if I will get a RFI for this... I supposed it goes with the EAD/AP combo card and that's still a aways away so hopefully it won't hold that up!

I'm wondering about walk-in biometrics, will that help speed up the process? I'm still waiting on the appointment. Should I know which office they will send me to? I am kinda lost because I think the closest one for me is 2 hours+ away and don't wanna get turned down. Although it might be worth a try if it does help speeding up the process.
