I picked San Diego too.

I went to Chula Vista office for an infopass and the IO told me to leave this field blank. The IO was saying that depending upon the loads they forward the application to Chula Vista or San Diego office. I didn't take his advice. I put San Diego.

I don't have an exact answer, but based on the other members here, I would say around 5-8 days. Good luck!

Walk-in biometric appointment done!

Well... I decide to try to do my walk-in biometric on Thursday. So i went to Chula Vista at 7.30am. I was third in line. By 8am we were more than 50 people. At that time i knew that i will not be able to do it but i stayed anyway. A lady open the door and started checking all appointments- time and date. The guy in front of me had his for 9am and she told him to come back at 9am and had to wait for all people that was behind him - so at this point i just left knowing i have no chance of getting in. My second attempt was today (Friday). I went at 2.20pm and there was only 1 person waiting in the entire waiting area - i was shocked. I couldn't believe what a difference was morning compared to afternoon. The same lady greeted me at the door and let me in this time. The total time i spent inside was less than 20 min - it could have been faster but i have a sweaty hands and it took some time for the technician to take my fingerprints (she was not happy - like it's my fault).

Overall good experience and if you are thinking of doing a walk in - definitely go in the afternoon.

Received our NOA1 yesterday via mail. I sent in an I-131 with a copy of the acceptance letter for the I-485. My wife wants to travel November 9th but it looks like processing the AP takes much longer... Any ideas on how to speed it up?

We didn't receive the FP date like another September filer. Once we get it we'll try for a walk-in in Tampa. Unlike other ASC sites Tampa has 'NOTE: Applicants should not come into the office before their scheduled appointment time.' on the USCIS site. I wonder if it hurts to try!
