Have you ever been to Cambridge Probate? It's a joy!

I believe you can get a new hard copy of the certified divorce decree with the state seal for $5. You might want to get that and keep it in your records for any future needs. That's what I did, I dread going in there.

Yes, present received, thank you muchly! It was just what I needed. How did you know? goofy.gif

I'm like THE best gift giver ever....lol

Yea was there this summer with hubby to pick up two copies for the original package. Of course both times I had to use the ladies room...Ewwwww!!! Glad I don't have to hang out there every day, I'll tell you that much!!

At interview now I see.

They separate couples often, it depends on the officer. Straight and to the point with answers Salem, you'll be fine.

Good Luck!!!

I'm curious, a couple before us..they took the petitioner (wife) before the hubby, like us...when she came out, the officer said she didn't need to speak with the hubby, that the wife could explain, and then the officer said Good Luck...Hmmm?

It doesn't matter how solid your case is, there's always that doubt in the back of your head until you hear the word "approved".

Did you ever attempt the trip home with your AP?

Congras! I'm so nervous sad.png

Nothing to be nervous about, I'm pretty sure on the most part the officers are generally really nice. Like mine said "keep EVERYTHING over the next two years..trips, pics, any documents" to send in, and if enough, they won't even interview again, as they don't like to even have to.

Mind you, when we noticed people weren't going in together and same happened to us, I was sh*tting my pants when they called hubby alone, thinking, OMG they don't believe us and want to compare our answers etc...but he was only gone for a minute before she came and got me. It was straight forward and they are nothing like the customs officers at the borders...nothing at all!!

Good Luck, you'll be fine..

Teddy, No we stayed put. And glad we did after the intial questioning concerning the travel date in 2013...another couple of weeks and I'll be making plans for a visit though!!

Did you go to the JFK building in Boston, or is there one in Lawrence?

I found the interviewing officer we had to be very polite and respectful. She asked a few simple questions then asked to see our pics we brought. She was more interested in the cool pics we had taken on various trips and what we did for fun than anything else.

It will be good for you to get back home.

Our interview was in Lawrence. 830, didn't get in til about 845. Quite a few ahead of us, I was actually surprised. And yea, same here, she was more impressed by our steampunk costumes from Halloween than anything else, and commented what a great looking couple we make. Oh and she loved my wedding dress and where we got married (end of wharf in Salem (hence my user name) ). Again, AFTER she said we were approved, she decided to take a look at our wedding pics, then hubby HAD to bring out the steampunk one to show her from a pile we gathered, then talked about how no one really makes albums anymore, and everything is on facebook now.. We actually all had a good laugh once the anxiety wore off.

That's good it was a stress free interview. Now you can relax for almost 2 years until it's ROC time.
