My EAD was sent out yesterday. Should be here tomorrow or Friday.

My interview is on Tuesday though, should i even bother going to the social office on monday?? Don't i have to give the card back at the interview?

If you use your EAD to get your Social Security card it will say "Valid for work with DHS authorization" or something like that, if you wait to get your Social based on your Green Card, it will not have that statement, you'd need to go back to the Social Security office after getting your Green Card anyway to update their records

I was wondering the same thing since it's kind of annoying to go to the social security office (long wait and not always nice people), but it may take a while for the green card to arrive, I think it's always wise to get your ssn as soon as you can to get things moving. (I cant wait so I can legally change my last name on my drivers license and bank account and get a secured credit card to start building credit).

For some reason I put it in my mind that I would get my "EAD in production" update on day 61 and that's exactly what happened. Just got the text now at noon :)

EAD/AP combo card. your EAD was ordered first and then AP was approved and ordered to production. Combo card this time. that's what I think happened

Just got interviewed today. The IO was very nice. Just asked me the no queations. How I met my husband, how did he propose. Just asked the orders of mu husband (he is currently in Italy). Then she got my I-94. Three hours after I got status update that card is in production. So nervous about the 3 hour wait. Hehehehe! Interview was at Baltimore.
