The processing seems a little random at times. Not sure if the shift to Testing and Interview depends on how busy the local office is or not... What time of day did your status change to Testing and Interview?

Had to send my RFE back to Lee's Summit, anyone know if this means it will be processed there as well, and not locally?? or now I wait til it's transferred locally?

In my case i recieved an RFE about Afidavit.. I also had to sent the RFE package to Lee's Summit.. For what i have read it means that its not gonna be trasnfered until you sent the required documents to them.

What they do there is to process all your documents(performed by Adjudicators Officers) in MSC and they dont send it to the local office until all the basics things are covered.. (also the status of the USCIS page said That)

BTW . Im not an expert, just learning about the process while im wating. (Hope the info helps You)

Next paragraph are extrated from an interview to a former Adjudicator Officer...http://www.visajourney.com/content/adjudicator-q-and-a

" After clearing a applicant through the various mandatory database searches, then you could begin to review the various information on the petition. Sometimes there would be stupid mistakes like forgetting to sign it, or using a copy when an original signature was required etc... Kinda careless mistakes or from not really understanding the instructions type of thing. Anyway, these would generate an RFE, and the file's staus would be update in the computer as awaiting response to RFE or something like that, I don't recall the exact terminology.

Anyway, instead of sending the newly RFE'd file back to the large file storage area, it would be kept at the officers desk in a holding cue. Then when an RFE reply would come in, I would pull it (the file) off the shelf and rework it. I tried to clear all my answered RFE's out first thing every morning because it was "old" work as compared to the dates I was working at the time. If the RFE had the required information, it would continue to be processed and/or approved and sent on its way. If the RFE did not address the item, then another RFE would be generated and back on the shelf it would go. "

I130 APPROVED PREVIOUSLY, NOT CONCURRENT FILLING.

My I-485 status changed to "testing and interview" on October 31, got the text and email at 6:45am.

And this morning I was woken up at 4:15am with a text about an update on my I-485: our interview date! December 10, which is our joint sponsor (the person who made it possible for us to apply)'s birthday! :) a great sign :) they sent the same text again at 4:45am. I'm really happy everything is going so smoothly and that our application was put together (by us, thanks to VJ) properly (without using a lawyer like we were initially planning)!

Our I-130, EAD and AP are still under initial review, last update September 23.

So, I was not prepared for this. I was told it took about a year for the concurrent filing...so, after sending it off, I kinda thought of well at least I'll have my EAD and AP (hopefully) before my green card was approved....but seeing how fast everyones case is going who filed in September, I'm getting anxious that our status hasn't changed. I see others who also had RFE and has been changed to testing and interview, yet here we wait... Ugh.....

Anyone know if we got the RFE if that is the only one we would be getting or could/would they send more?
