Hi,

appointment time was 8:30, the letter was submitted in the Tray and was called in about 20 minutes wait time, the officer was nice but stern. My mother in law also got the appointment for her surgery this morning so my wife went to drop her at the hospital and then she also want to be with me so, we went together , she said hi to the officer and we told the officer that she has to rush to the hospital to see Maama and bring her home, the officer did not looked to show any concern. So IO took me to her office and sworn me in( I said I do mam). She asked my id , green card and passport, then she said lets start with the test,

she asked me to read " How many states we have? and gave me other paper to write " we have fifty states".

1. who wrote the constitution? 2.how many political parties in the us?. 3.who is the commander in Chief?.4.name three original colonies?.which state borders mexico?.

I don't know the last one or might she asked me fives.then she went through all the form and checked every thing, then I told me to sign the name and signature , she did not told me to sign the photos.

then she asked me for the utility bills, bank statements. I gave her those.she asked me do we have a loan, I replied we have only car loan but is in my name, she said why, I said coz they did not approve in her name so I got in my name, she commented that it is unlikely. but we have auto insurance together she looked at that, then she opened the bank statements and asked me one item and I said I am not sure but that she pay every month some direct debit for our insurance some thing but I don't know the exactly(never asked my wife about that ).then I gave her our health insurance , she asked who is primary I said my wife is the primary policy holder.she asked where I work and my wife work, gave her our paystubs for 2013 .I gave her our joint maceys and walmart credit card.i gave her few pics, she asked who is this guy in one picture, I replied "my brother in law".she saw all the pictures and returned to me.she ask me do you have any thing else, I gave her some receipts from Krogers and told her that I took my mother in law to the krogers and she used her discount card and I paid with my visa card.then I gave her the photo slip from the ISD for the school transfers for my step grand kids, I told her my wife work so I go every year to do that, she looked at them.

she printed paper and asked me that information on that is correct.? I said yes.

After all that she handed over the N-652 " A decision can not yet be made about your application"

So I am so disappointed now,What will be the next for me and how long it will take to receive some letter from the IO.

Any body got some kind of experience and share with me will be welcomed and appreciated.

I am very sorry that your interview didn't go so well. Did you ask the officer why the decision couldn't be made? did you questioned the officer at all?

I think the interview is a 2 way street and they are there to answer all your questions.

I am sure that you will be approved, you have more than enough documents showing that you live together, but don't mention anything about IRS joint transcripts. Did you file your taxes jointly?

just wondering.

Honestly it can take between your day of interview and 90 days. because your officer or his supervisor wants to review your file. Maybe you had a thick file and they didn't have a chance to review all of it before your interview or it could be something else. Just give it a little time and it will change. If it stay more then 90 days that's when you can ask for help from congressman or make an inquire. I know how you feel about waiting again as this journey was long and then you end up with more wait. I hope it will be short for you. Good luck.
