I'm very surprised you not file the I-130's last month.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

My wife was not sure we could get a consent letter from her Ex. She thought it would be a wast of money to file and in the end she would not go to the USA without her daughter.

Congrats on getting that consent form. Sounds like it went a lot better than was expected. Now it is time to hurry up and wait, as in hurry and file your petitions and then wait wait wait wait for that sloooooow USCIS office. Anyhow, I am sure it feels great to get everything started and not worrying about the concent any longer.

Yeah.. thanks... I am sure this is only the first hurdle we will encounter. Sent the packet UPS and should be delivered by Wednesday morning. What should we be working on to get ready for the NVC stage?

The main thing you can do to prepare for the NVC stage is prepare for your AOS package. Make sure you have all your finacial documents, taxes, and perhaps a joint sponsor (depending on your income and financial situation) prepared. Also, since you are living in Vietnam (if I remember correctly) you will need to get some proof that you plan to re-establish domicile in the US.

As for your wife's (IV package) documents, just make sure you have official birth certificate and marriage papers ready. Also will need to get a police check, but don't do that until closer to time since they are time sensitive (good for 6mo - 1 yr). You don't want it to expire before you need to send it.
