I like white lights, and the ornaments I've collected over the years. This year, at our office, we have a color coordinated tree, and it looks so classic! I think I might try that at home....

I always love seeing how nicely they colour match the trees at Kmart every year...something I would do if I could LOL! But I guess anytime I do any holiday decorating...gotta have lights and my daughter's homemade decorations!!!

With the tree it is multi colored lights that have like 16 different functions. Ornaments are a combination of all sorts of things...I don't do tinsel either

For the rest of the house the decorations are a color theme...blue and silver....and lots of snow and snowmen.

The tree: White lights, mostly glass ornaments, strands of silver 'pearls', light up star on top

The house outside: White lights along the roof (not icicle lights), red lights in the 2 shrubs to look like holly berries, a light up snowman and a wreath on the door

The kitchen: Strand of giant lights around the window, they look like regular lights but they're about 5" big each

The house inside: White candles, lit up garland around the window with a wreath of jingle bells in the center and red balls hanging down, Christmas Village houses painted by me and of course... mistletoe

 we have those same lights.... I change it every night... I kind of have a colour scheme on my tree, lots of blue and silver but i do have other colours on there too.... I don't like trees that are decorated all in one colour.... you know the same colour lights and the same colour decorations.....

I saw this tree the other day that had white lights on it and red bows all over it and a big red bow on top... it looked really pretty.... but I still like my tree with it's mix match of ornaments and its multi-coloured lights  I do like the big red bow idea though and I might use that next year.... :)

You need an "other"! We have a few glass ornaments and some lights, but most of our ornaments are plastic/resin/ceramic/fabric.metal ones we've collected over the years. Very few of them homemade, but most of them bought to remember something.
