Hi everyone,

I just received this email about my I-751:

"On September 4, 2013, we transferred your CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address."

My question is: is this what usually happens with I-751 applications ? Or, if an application is transferred to a local office it means that an interview appointment will be the next thing?

It looks like you filed in June. Some of the June applicants are either getting moved to CSC or to a Local Office for further processing. Local Offices can also undertake regular processing. Hence it doesn't mean interview is your next step. Generally one gets a RFE before his case goes for an interview.

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

Yeah, that's what I thought: usually you get an RFE and then an interview appointment if your response is not satisfying.

Thank you for clarifying this for me, I had no idea they just move applications from one office to another. Hope they don't lose any while moving them around. :D

Just FYI, a lot of June filers got the same email and case update. Then a few days later, we received a letter saying that it was transferred to CSC.

Mine said the same thing, transferred to Local USCIS Office.

On calling 800-375-5283, it discloses that the Local Office at St. Albans, Vermont itself.

Same here. Did you get a NOA letter!
