Hello,

Just to make sure since I'm planning a trip to the US shortly. I've applied for my I-130 (Sister is a US citizen) about a year ago. As far as I know it shouldn't affect my B2 visa. If anyone has other information I'll be most greatfull

Thanks

Actually, your sister submitted a petition for you. So far, you haven't done anything.

Given that it takes around 12 yrs for immigrant visa based on F4 (I-130) petition and you can't overstay or AOS, don't think you should have problems getting a tourist visa provided you can show home ties proof (job, mortgage, family) in your home country.

Getting a tourist visa when you have an immigrant visa pending can be difficult. You'll need to be able to show that you have very strong ties home and that you will be using your tourist visa for just that: short tourism visits.

Little confused by your wording though - sounds like you already have a B2? If so, you can continue to use it. As always, be prepared at the point of entry to demonstrate how your trip is short term (return ticket, some tie-home proof).
