Hi VJ

Would like to have your opinion, when is the best length of time after get marry to apply CR1 and CR2. We are planning to submit the I-30 like a month after get marry, will it be ok or we should wait in certain time, lets say 6 months or a year?

You can file it immediately after getting married. I don't think there is a minimum wait time, only that you have to be married. I waited 4 months only because I needed to - to fulfill the time requirement of length of stay for DCF filing.

I don't know about Indonesia, but here in the Philippines it takes a while to get a certified copy of the Marriage Cert., so it may take you a month or more to be able to file.

Thank you so much for the response, it really a relief.

The certificate will directly get when we marry, however it need time to translate and legalized. Definitely more less one month time required. We will start soon the process after get marry, thank you so much.

There's no minimum time. We filed next business day after marrying.
