Please help... my fiance' in San Antonio is collecting all the paper works for our K1 visa process and he is about to send them soon. Just wondering if I have to send a copy of my passport also? I know we have to send a copy of all pages of his passport.

These are all the documents that we have prepared...

- Cover letter

- Form I-129F

- Letters of intent to marry from me and my fiance

- Signed and dated Forms of G325A from me and fiance

- Passport style color photograph of him and me

- Declaration of how we met in person in the last two years for question 18 of the I-129F form

- Copy of his birth certificate (front and back)

- Copy of all pages of his passport

- Filing fee 340$

- Proof of having met in past 2 years and an ongoing relationship

ALSO, when filling the new form I-129F, it says, "Answer all questions fully and accurately. If an item is not applicable or the answer is, "none", leave the space blank".
I have heard that people who doesn't fill anything in the blank got denied because they should have filled in, "N/A" or "none" if an item isn't applicable. What should my fiance' do?... should he just leave blank if it's not applicable or just write, "N/A" just to be safe?

I think on G325A it stated use "none". My fiance leave it blank on I-129F.

The USC needs to prove citizenship with a copy of their birth certificate OR all pages of their passport. They do not need both, just one or the other. They provide copies of the pages with the stamps and biographical info page of the passport for proof of meeting within the last 2 years. If the foreign fiance(e) ever visited the USC petitioner in their own or a 3rd party country somewhere, then they can provide copies of their passport stamps and the biographical info page of their passport. Otherwise, no, the foreign fiance(e) does not need to include a copy of their birth certificate or passport with the I-129F petition. They need those things when the time comes for their K-1 visa interview.

The most recent edition of the I-129F form instructions state to leave anything that is N/A or None blank, so follow the instructions. For any other forms, follow whatever the instructions state for those as well.

Thank you so much. Your answer is so clear and helpful. I will tell my fiance' to leave it blank if it's N/A or None for the I-129F form. But for G325A, Biographic Information, should we fill in N/A or None if it's not applicable? The thing is I already filled in N/A instead of "None" in G325A form and my fiance' is sending the papers tomorrow. Is that okay? Sorry for so many questions.

I think on G325A it stated use "none". My fiance leave it blank on I-129F.

On the proof of relationship, you can send copies of boarding passes, flight itineraries, hotel receipts, phone bills, copies of letters sent, etc.

Some people sent chat logs up front, but i never did. You might want that for the interview.

There is no requirement for 4x6 color photos with the I-129F.

If there is no requirement then why is it in the k-1 guides?

I see nowhere in the K-1 guide here that says you must send 4x6 color photos with the I-129F petition. This is not listed in the I-129F package checklist in the guide, nor is this stated in the I-129F form instructions. The form instructions state everything that is required.

Photos are secondary evidence and mainly used to backup the primary evidence of meeting in person, passport stamps, boarding passes, etc. The photos do not have to be 4x6 or in color. They can be printed out on regular printing paper even, in black and white if need be.

The only photo requirements for the I-129F are 2 passport photos, one from the USC and one from the foreign fiance(e).

Well ive seen many topics about members getting rfes for not sending in photos of themselves together. They probably don't have to be 4x6 or in color but that seems to be the standard. I didn't want an rfe so i sent as many photos as possible

I think photos are necessary but I think the only photos that require a size requirement are the passport photos. Photos are important to include but I'm going to need passport stamps, bank receipts from trip, plane ticket (not itinerary). I'm also using a software program called batch photo to extract the meta data to include time stamp on photos. I'm writing details on the back of where they were taken & spreading them out over a course of several different days, most likely 25 photos.

Do you have links to cases where they sent in everything that was required but did not include photos and got an RFE for photos only? I usually see RFEs where people sent only photos, emails and chats to prove they met and the USCIS asks them for primary evidence of meeting,

No, there is no size requirement for photos. There is no requirement they be in color. There is no requirement they be printed on photo paper. There is no requirement for how many to send, besides the requirement for the passport photos.

I am not saying photos are useless. They can help backup your primary evidence for meeting in person and I think the adjudicators expect to see at least 1 or 2 in a petition because most couples want to capture that moment of finally getting to be together in person by taking photos. They are most useful if you are standing in front of a well known landmark, holding a paper showing the dated front page together, or together with each others friends and family. Photos tend to be more important at the interview than for the petition. Primary evidence of meeting is more important for the petition. However, if you will be going through a high fraud, more strict consulate, then you should definitely add more than a couple photos and other bona fide relationship evidence to 'front-load'..

I was clearing up your assertion that 4x6 color photos were a requirement for the I-129F. They are not.
