Most likely the timing for this won't work but do you get your three weeks of vacation all up front (at the beginning of the year) or does it accrue throughout the year? Because if you get it all at once you could span two different years and use vacation days from each, i.e. end of December and beginning of January. This is something I have done to be able to visit my fiance longer, plus it gives you a couple of holidays and a few extra days. Just a suggestion :) Best of luck!
