Awesome news little_g!!!! Congrats!

Well we weren't forgotten after all. We just got the text and status update online:

On February 18, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

It's nice to have this behind us at last! Thank you all for helping us this far. Best of luck to everyone star_smile.gif

Received notice today that both cards have been mailed. No tracking number provided. Hoping we get them before the end of the week! Good luck guys.

I got the card production notice on 3 Feb but still no mailing updates or tracking numbers. :(

Mind you, we are in Australia at the moment so for all I know the card could be waiting for me at home. :)

My driving license expire march 12. I need prove that I am legally admited in this country to renew my DL in order to go to work and there fore provide food for my family.

Should I risk it and wait until my GC arrives or get a year renewal from USCIS.gov and renew my DL for a year?

if anyone have any idea please let me know.

I applied back in early September. this is so frustrating.

Thanks

Yes, your letter stating that your gc was extended for a year proves your legal status in USA and you can use it to renew your DL. Don't just wait for a gc. Sometimes it just takes a bit longer. Be patient, and best of luck!!

Congrats Little G.

I assume i am one of the last left for Septemeber. I called USCIS on Friday and they said they would put in a service request. I got an email yesterday saying that i would b notified within 45 days with a decision. ( hopefully an approval)

If anyone else is left for September, I think you should go ahead and call USCIS and try your luck.

congrats to all who been approved.

I dont think it hurts. I have been calling every week for the last 4 weeks. I finally got someone to put a request in. JUst be polite and ask if they can look into the matter.

I havent gotten approved yet, but I just wanted to give it a try.

It took 5 months and 20 days from the day we mailed out our I-751 packet to the day we received both cards in the mail.

08/30/2013 Mailed I-751 paclet to VSC (wife and son joint)

09/05/2013 NOA1 extension letter received

10/07/2013 Transferred to CSC

11/12/2013 Called and requested Status Inquiry as to why no biometrics appt had been sent yet

11/21/2013 Received response to Status Inquiry with wife's biometrics appointment for 12/13/2013

12/10/2013 Walk-in Biometric completed (wife only)

12/23/2013 Received NOA of Approval for both my wife and son!

1/23/2014 Post-approval Biometrics appointment for my son

2/10/2014 Called and requested a Status Inquiry as to why production of our green cards have not been ordered

2/12/2014 Received notice that production of both cards have been ordered

2/18/2014 Received notice that the cards were mailed plus tracking numbers

2/20/2014 Received cards

I was surprised to find that the cards don't expire until Feb 12, 2024 (10 years from the day the new card production was ordered). I thought they would expire 10 years after our initial entry.... nice surprise. So the silver lining at least for those who have had to wait a little longer is that the card will be valid fot that much longer.

I'm not sure what it means but I just checked my case status and it has changed from 'On February 3 we ordered production of your new card ...' to 'On February 20 we ordered production of your new card ...' No emails or text messages to tell me the status had changed. I'm not too worried as we are on vacation so I am just hoping the card will be there when we get back.
