I sent in my request (via mail) yesterday requesting a new date for biometrics. My wife had an accident during our vacation (crushed a disc in her back) and is stuck in a Bogota hospital.. She will be unable to fly until two weeks after the current biometrics date.

From what I have read it is no big deal to push out the biometrics a few weeks but thought I would mention here for people in a similar position in the future.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

I completed my biometrics yesterday and my case was updated today to this:

On October 8, 2013, we transferred your CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address

Is this good??

I have had the same update today. I think it probably has more to do with workload at Vermont but I am keeping my fingers crossed that it might mean things move more quickly.

I had two updates today. The first said my case was transferred to 'another office'. Then just over an hour later I had a second email and text which said that my case was being transferred to 'your local USCIS Office'. That's Atlanta for me I guess.

We all from August got similar updates. First it said that it was transferred to a local office and the telephone inquiry mentioned that to be a local office in St. Albans itself. Then the online update changed to "transferred on xx/xx/xxxx to an office that has jurisdiction over your case" and finally changed to "transferred case is in process". We also received a NOA2 stating that it was sent to CSC. So the messages keep changing and finally you will get NOA2.

You all will receive your NOA2 with correct information - my guess is CSC.

USA

Not sure if I should be concerned. Submitted my I-751 within 6-weeks of my CR-1 expiration - due to a tax extension we only received our 2012 tax transcripts late in August - but otherwise I believe our documents were all in order.

Two weeks ago I rec'd an I-751 RECEIPT NOTICE with a one-year extension on CR status. Today, I rec'd the same Transfer Notice as everyone else.

But I have not rec'd a Biometrics appointment letter.

Any thoughts?

You probably will get your biometrics letter from the new office (may be CSC), after they receive the application.

No, it's not odd. I don't think you will see any activity unless you are transferred like some of us have been or you get an RFE or approval.
