I see that several people have tried walk-in biometrics and been successful. Has anyone tried and been turned away?

Not sure if this is an error that needs to be corrected; USCIS reveresed my wifes first and last name on her NOA I797. Im only asking because her sons NOA has his first name first then last name. Also in the address they only printed her first initial then our last name.

I would call about the name itself and make an InfoPASS appointment if it can't be resolved over the phone. The address isn't a problem. My wife's was the same: First Initial then Last Name

Interesting article Lollo and good to know! Thanks for sharing. The one part that really got me was this:

"Unlike some other government agencies, they’re almost entirely self-funded. The fees they charge cover 95 percent of their budget, according to spokesperson Christopher Bentley."

I knew we were being charged an arm and a leg! wow.gif

We are being charged what it costs (well almost).. seems fair.

I would argue they could make changes and lower costs but charging enough in fees to cover 95% costs.. Whats to gripe about ?

I guess I should clarify that I wasn't making a gripe smile.png

I think the figures just struck me initially in the sense that many government departments/services struggle to fund themselves and depend very heavily on a federal budget while providing a service for little or no cost to the community but that the Department of Homeland Security (which is waaay more than just a department for those of us trying to legally immigrate our loved ones and keep them here) manages to cover almost 100% of its costs with fees. That and the fact that I am not very well off so the challenge to meet those fees (and everything in between) has proven to be incredibly difficult but definitely well worth the struggle!! star_smile.gifheart.gif

Hi fellow journiers, I have a question. My I-751 package was submitted and they sent me the receipt notice. However, the first paragraph of this notice is a little confusing....It says:

"Your conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year. During the one-year extension you are authorized employment and travel. (This extension and authorization for employment and travel does not apply to you if your conditional resident status has been terminated.)"

What do they mean by the words in parentheses ? Why even mention this if, in my case, they're first saying that my conditional status is extended ?

Can anybody shine some light on this, please ?

They are just letting you know that if your residency was previously revoked that the notice does not reinstate, it simply extends a currently valid conditional residency for one year.
