I am unable to find out. It was cashed by an "eleccheck" (electronic checking) from my online banking records. I asked my bank's customer service and they said there's no way they can determine.

I'm confused as to why other members received their NOA only 2 days after sending in their applications. Are they notified by email/text as opposed to snail mail?

I guess that banks are all different. Mine was also cashed electronically but when I look at the transaction in my online records it shows this:

-590.00 ElecCheck 586 VSC FIELD OFFICE DES:PAYMENT CHECK #:0586...

Everyone is having to wait for their NOA1 in the snail mail; I'm sure yours will turn up soon but you could try to give them a call. At least you know it got there if the check has been cashed.

Wow. I feel like a moron. Mine says CSC, which I presume is the California office.

Thanks a lot cathy2904 and lollo! I will call tomorrow to get further information.

It is the receipt date on the NOA.. In my case I mailed it on the 23rd, it arrived on the 25th (they cashed the check on the 25th) but I did not receive the NOA until 29th in the mail.. The receipt date listed for the NOA was 9/25 so that is the NOA1 date.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

It looks like you have been transferred then which is probably the reason for the delay. I just tried to enter the Receipt number from my wife's NOA1 on the USCIS website to check the status but I think I read somewhere else that the case number on the ROC NOA1 can't be entered and you have to wait for the biometrics letter receipt number. Is this correct? I just want to verify that's the case.

Mar. 14, 2016 - Biometrics

Yes the Noa1 is useless for checking online. Have to wait for Biometrics appointment letter & use that NOA...

With VSC being Sent to CSC I would tack on a week or 2. some area's mail can take a week alone to be received. I for 1 am lucky being 6 hrs away from CSC that it generally takes 3-4 days lol.

Remember weekends & Gov Holidays don't count lol.

GC in Hand since nov/dec11
Currently in Process of I-751 Waiting Period.

delivered 9-12-13 NOA Dated 9-12-13 w/amount received. Received 9-16-13

Biometrics Received 9-27-13 APP: 10-15-13 3pm.
House is Listed for Sale & Hopefully it will sell soon.

Thanks. It still puzzles me though. I was just looking at the October filers and I would say about 98% of them already received NOA and Biometrics. If there is a delay, they aren't experiencing it despite filing a month after I did.

I hope nothing is wrong with our application.
