I hope to have our package in the mail tomorrow. How log does it taking the vermont service center to send NOA1 receipt? My wifes green card expires 10/20/13.

Got my packet put together. I-751 Forms filled out with copies of electric bill, auto insurance, rental lease, bank account statements, etc.. tossed in and a couple of photos for good measure. Hope that is enough. I'll be mailing it out with check on Monday. Anything anybody sent that was not typicaly listed by the check list that might be a good idea to send along? I am just making sure I don't miss anything and am curious if others had a lightbulb moment and thought, "This would be perfect to send in!"

Time to hunker down now and wait for noa, biometrics and then hubby's card and or our interview. Looks like it is gonna be a while looking at past timelines ClockWatch2.gif

I remember the waiting.... I didn't like the waiting LOL

on an average, some got it 2 weeks after they uscis recieved it..

I have a question. I always think worst case scenario to be able to prepare for all angles that can be thrown at us. What if the case is not approved and the case is still pending and the green card expiration date is passed?

Hi there - a familiar name from the CR1 journey. It's almost certain that the green card will expire before your ROC is adjudicated but your NOA1 acts as a one year extension to the green card. As such it is a very important document and the LPR will need the original (as well as the green card) if you travel outside the US once the green card has expired.

Hi all..

Just wondering how long it took to see your checks cashed? I notice that most NOA1s have arrived (or are dated?) 2(!!) to 8 days after the I-751 was sent. We're on Day 6 since it was sent and Day 4 since VSC received it (per USPS tracking #), so we're just curious to see what everyone else's experience has been (and anxious to get the NOA1 before any gov't shutdown shenanigans can take place!)
