I just got a case update saying i have been sent a notice for more evidence as there was not enough initial evidence. I wont find out what i have to send until i get the letter but with our paperwork we sent photo album joint bank account paperwork and wedding cards. We live with my wife's Grandmother so none of the utility's our in our names and my wife doesn't have car insurance or anything so don't know what more we could send. I was wondering if it was some something to do with the affidavit of support My wife didn't meet the requirements as she spent the previous year out of the country so her grandmother filled out the paperwork for it. Was my wife supposed to fill one out too as she put in the I-130 even though we are just using her grandmother as Financial sponsor?

Any reply's will be greatly appreaciated :)

+1 Yep. Both the petitioner and any joint sponsor for financials complete I-864. Also, if she was out of the country, she was still required to complete her tax return, so make sure that's in order.

Initial evidence may not be about that though - could be bonafide relationship evidence. Photos, joint account and wedding cards doesn't sound like much of a list. Did you include anything else? Other shared things like health/life insurance or wills? Chat/phone records? Passport stamps for trips to visit one another? Boarding passes? Flight itineraries? Gift receipts?

Relationships evidence won't be the cause for a RFE for an AOS case, because there will be a mandatory joint interview down the line.

You won't know what the RFe is for until you get the letter, but it will be for, at least, an I-864 plus all documentation for the USC.

Oh dear she did not fill it out so it must be that. Will they just let us send in her part of the affidavit? We still haven't received the notice yet though it should come tomorrow. Thanks she did fill last years tax returns so that is all good. Ahh I hate seeing that our case is on hold hopefully this gets sorted fast. 4

Thanks for the other reply's :)
