Hello everyone! How many of us here are still waiting for the NOA2 in the mail since July?

I have bad news... I called USCIS and all they told me this time was that there was no need for a service request... blah blah blah, and that they will transfer me to a tier 2, for which I am still waiting a call back.

Also that I need to go ahead and file the form

I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition

This form has a cost of $405 dollars!!!! protest6wz.gif ranting33va.gif

Can you guys believe this?! This fee is even more money than the I129F itself!

Any ideas of this?

I am totally amazed! I can't understand all of this BS!!!!

I don't know either... i am waiting for the Tier 2 rep to call me back.

Yes my file is at NVC but that approval notice is necessary and I can't understand why if they made the mistake of never sending it I have to pay that much to get them to send it over to me?!!

It's ridiculous!

I just got my interview date in 3 months!! and my noa 2 was in january! so I hope you get your stuff soon and you are good in time compared to all of us..

Hopefully it will magically appear and you don't have to pay bc it makes no sense. Try to call back and speak to another tier 2

I have a Tier2 on the phone right now.

She says she is putting another service request for the NOA2 to be sent again. But the officer also said that it is very likely that I will have to file the form I824. She recommended me to file an I912 (fee waiver)...

It is super ridiculous!

Did the Tier 2 you spoke to offer any solution other than them actually sending the NOA 2 ? When I called the put in a request to resend. I will let you know on Friday if they actually do.

Tom the last Tier2 I spoke with on the 21st of August put a request for the NOA2to be re-sent by USCIS and she e-mailed TSC about it. Today is 2 weeks after that service request was put in and I still do not have it in my hands.

The Tier2 I spoke to today was not very well informed, and she did try to make me feel better, but it does not help when I have more information than she does... She actually put in a second request, though I do not think they are sending anything to me unless I pay for that.

She said I could file a fee waiver with it but that does not guarantee that they will process it without the corresponding payment. And I ask myself... If I am sponsoring my Fiancé, how am I going to claim that I do not have means to pay for this? I mean.. I have been saving money and I even stopped from going to visit last month because I need to save in order for us to be in a good situation when he arrives, but they don't help much.

I think I will file the form and the waiver, but I know it will be for nothing. SMH

What a mess they have created for us to get through. I would contact your Congressman at this point. Mine was no help because the USCIS and NVC have guarded themselves with " normal processing times" so she wouldn't push for answers until I was outside those times. Your case is very different. You have waited the times that USCIS has set for themselves, so I believe your Congressman can actually help you. I would do that before filing any more forms. If my NOA2 is not here Friday I will call USCIS and then I will contact the Congressman with this situation. We are not alone, there are many here going through this also. Hang in there....
