Hello, members of VJ.

Currently filling in the forms for AOS based on K1 visa and have several questions. Please advise.

1. My husband was a petitioner for K1 visa for me. We got married in USA and i took my husband's surname. Now, what surname do i indicate in AOS forms - my maiden surname (which is in my international passport) or my new surname after marriage (which is not the one in my K1 visa but only in a marriage certificate) ?

2. If you advise me to indicate my new surname in i-485, then should i do the same in i-131 (application for travel form)? Because if i travel home with a permit to my new surname, how do i come back if my international passport still is into my maiden name ?

3. Also - what to indicate in the "Current USCIS status" (form i-485)?

4. What to indicate in a current occupation - none or what (as i cant work)?

5. "List your present children" - does it include children of my spouse or only mine?

6. What is the expiration date on i-94? is it the date till which you are allowed to stay or is it the expiration date of i-94 (in the top right corner)?

7. Do birth certificates need to be translated by certified translators in USA, or will the translations made by Chamber of commerce in my home country work? My son's birth certificate translation has one misspelled letter (as his passport was issued later than the translation was done), is it biggie or not?

Thank you in advance for your help.
