I received an update as well as a hard copy mail, stating that my case was transfered to Nebraska on the 13th of August. Then my case status was updated on the 16th of August to being processed. Does anyone know how long this take to be approved? Or anyone who received similar update, you can share your experience please.

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

08/16/2013 case transferred to NSC

08/27/13 Approval (NOA2)

08/30/13 Hard copy of NOA2 received

09/04/13 NVC returned file to USCIS

I-485 APPLICATION

-------------------------------------------------------------

08/6/13 I-485, 765, and 131 package mailed

8/7/13 package received by USCIS chicago

8/12/13 text and email of acceptance received

8/15/13 hard copies of I-797c receipt notices received

8/19/13 FP notice recieved, FP scheduled for 09/06/13

8/21/13 Successful FP walk in

9/3/13 Status changed to testing and interview

9/6/13 Email for interview scheduled for 10/9/13 at 2:30 pm in Philadelphia

10/7/13 EAD and AP approved

10/9/13 Interview lasted less than 5 mins and was approved on the spot

10/17/13 combo EAD and AP card received, but don't need it since GC has been approved already

10/21/13 10-year GC received, wow so much good things happening. THANK YOU JESUS!

@F2a485, it really interests me to see your case approved just days after being transferred to Nebraska. Mine was transferred on the 13th of August, updated as being processed on the 16th. So, two updates in three days. My concern now is how long it's going to take for me to get an approval.

well hard to tell. It depends on the officer reviewing your file. It's just like any other workplace, some workers do things in a time efficient manner while others just coast around.

Also there have been instances where people have abandoned files on their table and go for leave. Those files will stay put until they return. It is rather unfortunate, but that is the reality of dealing with the almighty USCIS.

I am in similar situation. My case case was transferred from VSC to NSC and got NOA2 on mid august 2013. PD is 2/2013.

July 11, 2013 - NOA 1

September 12, 2013 - Transfer to Nebraska

September 20, 2013 - Case touched

November 14, 2013 - NOA 2

Case shipped to DOS - November 19, 2013

NVC Stage

December 11, 2013 - NVC received my case

December 30, 2013 - NVC case number issued

January 2, 2013 - NVC issued invoice number

January 13, 2013 - DS261 filled out

January 15, 2013 - AOS invoice received and paid

January 17, 2013 - AOS package sent

January 21, 2014 - Fed ex delivered package (NVC confirmed receipt on 22nd)

January 21, 2014 - IV fee invoice received and paid

January 22, 2014 - IV documents sent (payment in process but cleared from bank)

January 23, 2014 - submitted DS260 form, iv documents delivered per fedex (24th per NVC)

February 12, 2014 - received fake checklist for IV package

February 21, 2014 - Case completed (by phone)

April 2, 2014 - Called and got interview date May 13, 2014

May 13, 2014 - Counsel needed some time to to review docs

May 27, 2014 - Interview round two and visa approved

June 2, 2014 - Visa pick up date

@joarda, Congratulations! I think the date is coming up gradually, good to know. If I may ask, was your case also transfered to Nebraska? If yes, what date was it transfered ?

where do you get this information from? highly doubtful it works like that

where do you get this information from? highly doubtful it works like that

Oh yeah l have seen instances where people's application took awfully long, and they only found out from infopass that the officer who has their file was on leave.

Feb 2013 approved from vsc!!! Yey!! Im praying that all VSC employees will work double time in reviewing our cases. Good luck smile.png

yay my case also got transferred today. My PD is July 11, 2013 with vermont. hope it will be approved soon. I see people getting approved within a month after being transferreddancin5hr.gif
