Hello all, I wondered if anyone has any expereince they might share.

Our I-129f was approved 6 weeks ago and sent to the london immigrant visa unit for processing. They have said via email that it takes "up to 4 weeks" for the files to arrive. They have no record of having recieved our file. My fiancee was told yesterday by a tier 2 official in the US that they would try to trace the file and that we should call again in 2 weeks.

Has anyone else expereinced similar? We are going round in circles between various helplines and progress seems nonexistent

Six weeks here approved file still sitting at TSC with no movement in site. I'm watching cases 413, 426, 428. All approved on July 24 and still siting with no action

I sent an email to the director of the service centers Donald Neufeld yesterday, no response yet.

Hello!

I know we are not applying for the same visa, but Yes I have been going through the same thing. Our petition was approved in May of this year. I have been going back and forth with uscis and NVC to find out where my case was. After contacting my local congressman I found out our case was sent from the local Atlanta field office to the Nation Records Center by mistake. This has cost us a three month delay in the process.

Good Luck

Call DOS to ask what current status for your visa. They can tell you if Embassy received electronic file or physical file. I am not sure about London, DOS told me Embassy received my electronic and physical file on what date. They also told me the package 3 was sent on what date too. Honestly, DoS has more knowledge than NVC in my opinion. Good Luck.

There's been several cases where TSC sent an approved petition to the National Records Center (NRC) instead of NVC. It's a recurring infrequent issue, I would recommend emailing SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov with your complaint and issues. smile.png

There's been several instances, if you search the threads where the TSC has mistakenly sent approved cases to NRC instead of NVC. It's not a common thing, but it has happened often enough that it should be considered if the case appears to be "lost".

There's no timeline or reference so I assumed when they mentioned a Tier 2 Officer, they were speaking of the file still being with USCIS. :)

Did you call NVC, which is where it goes first from the USCIS service center. Find out if NVC received it from USCIS. if so, ask when it left NVC for London. Sometimes cases don't get sent from USCIS immediately or sometimes they get hung up at NVC when that should be a brief pit stop of only 3 days. What are the NVC dates? Make a timeline so we know what you have already established. Edited by Nich-Nick

I-797 says it has been sent to consulate and to contact them

Consulate say they don't have it

USCIS say to speak to the NVC

Yesterday a T2 at USCIS told my fiancee there was no trace of the file anywhere and to wait 2 weeks before calling back

Today NVC say it cannot go straight to the consulate but they don't have it but it isnt overdue for another 2 weeks

If i had any hair left I'd be tearing it out right now

Posted (edited)

There is no tracking the file from USCIS to NVC. If NVC said they do not have it then it is either at USCIS or on the way to NVC. I never heard any case that goes directly to Embassy from USCIS. However, I-797 always says it forwarded to Embassy for everyone but it does not.

Keep calling DOS or NVC to check with them.

Good Luck.

Look at my signature below. My case was stuck at TSC for 49 days. Done everything: call/email USCIS, NVC, DOS, Ombudsman, SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov, US Senators & Congressman (not really helpful, but still do it), Infopass... ect...

Finally, I called the TSC office of director directly. After pleading and explaining that no one knew exactly where my case is, the man who answered my phone call looked up my case and said: "it's here at TSC, but in the "wrong" place, Infopass can't even help you. He didn't explain where or what the "wrong" place was, and promised to fix it in a week. And it worked. They don't deal with application, but they could get greater access than those useless contractors with USCIS

My suggestion is to call, email, and fax directly to everyone on the list above (if you haven't), and call the TSC director office. Time ot carpet bombing them with your letters!
