I posted this on another forum and got no response. Please help.

Our petition was approved and the package was forwarded to the U.S. Embassy in China on Nov 14th. My fiances translator provided me with my fiance's daughters name which I filled in on the I-129F and the G-325A Turns out the the first name is incorrect. Will this cause a problem? I have filled in the correct name on the I-134 and have instructed my fiance to fill in the correct name on her documents such as DS-156 etc. I have also instructed my fiance to take her daughter to the interview along with her daugters birth certificate, passport and nortorized letter from her ex husband authorizing her to take her to bring her daughter to the U.S. Will this be ok? :help:

Can't answer from a knowledge perspective, but I would think that the name the Embassy has will be the names issued on the Visas. If those nomes do not match the names in the passports, then my guess is that there "could" be a problem. Having said that, it is a good idea to make certain that the correct names are written on all forms going forward.

I hope that someone with a more definitive answer will respond soon.

aclassic,

The Consular Section will make the appropriate name changes, based upon the identity documents your Fiance provides. This is not a big issue. Don't worry about it.

With respect to the travel authorization, I do not know.

The only think I am thinking is that it 'migt' cause a delay, have you tried contacting the Embassy and asking them for guidance? I'd try that, and if that didn't work I'd contact the NVC and see what they say.
