I learned that I can't do EP so I would be submitting the hard copy to the NVC. I am trying to find out what I need to submit with the IV Package and found the following list. Could someone please confirm that the list is still accurate? Second, is it time for the beneficiary to get the police certificate? Should I ask my wife to get the Police Certificate at this time? I thought Police Certificate is required at Embassy when the case is transferred to the embassy. Also, I was told that original marriage certificate is required at time of interview. Could someone please answer?

Original/Certified birth certificate of the beneficiary g. Original/Certified marriage certificate of the beneficiary and the petitioner h. Original police certificate(s) of the beneficiary i. Original/Certified divorce decree of the beneficiary's prior marriage(s), if applicable j. That is exactly what is required

So, can I have my spouse get the Police Certificate and mail it to me or the date on the Police Certificate needs to be after NVC asks for it?

If your spouse can get it now, do it now. Some countries do not require a police certificate and some countries it is unobtainable until checklisted by the NVC.

just for clarification....sending originals of documents is NOT required, correct?

NVC requires originals, for documents you want back (such as your birth certificate and marriage certificate) also submit photocopies.

For pakistan I don't believe there is a police certificate needed at all. You didn't have your beneficiary's country portal on your profile page and I'm sorry I didn't bother going to your timeline like I should've. Thank you for fixing your profile :)

Police Records

Not available. Pakistan has no nationwide tracking system in place for criminal activities. Police Character Certificates are available for a fee from District Coordinating Offices. However, they are not an accurate reflection of an individual's criminal record. An applicant who has committed a crime in one district may be able to obtain a clean Character Certificate from that district or another. Given the inaccuracy of these certificates, they are not required for consular processing.
