Hey Guys,

While i was waiting for my wife's appointment letter (since i was told the DS230 has been accepted, I received a checklist for the I-864. I laughed thinking it was the false checklist. But i said let me called anyway just to be sure. I was SHOCKED when i CSR told me they have not received the cirrected I-864 documents i sent in check list on July 8, 2013. I can not understand this because when i sent the documents in, i called and was told they have been received and are being review. I sent this document through FedEx and requested a signature which i have. I sent the DS-230 and the reviewed I-864 in the same FedEX envelope but each one was in a different regular mail envelope addressed to CMR and DR respectively since the are going to different section of the NVC. The CSR said he will put in a request to have a supervisor look for the document and i should wait 15 days. but given what they did I need advice on what is the fastest way to resolve this.

Thanks

You can send them the corrected documents if you think it will get there faster than their supervisor review. Make sure to write your case number on the top of every sheet. I have a feeling there is a bunch of new people at the NVC who are mucking it up like gremlins after midnight.

even ####### at nvc.. sorry to hear..

it is possible to send a new one without slowing down any processes if you like.. and probably what I would do. once it is delivered to nvc, call back and speak with a supervisor.. take their name and only deal with them going forward.. it should cut your wait time in half at least. you will need to speak to the initial lost document several times I am sure, but that will help in getting the supervisor's help.

Thanks to you and CRL for your responses. I think i will just mail in another form. Also how to i get to speak to a 2nd tier supervisor. Do i just tell CSR to put me through to one of them or there is a different process.

Thanks for all your help.

yip that is correct

the cr will occasionally give you a tough time doing this, but you will get through

once you get through to immigration leave your callback number on the computerized system and keep your place in line without having to wait an hour on the phone

btw they're called supervisors at the NVC not tier 2. So when you call, ask for a supervisor. Try to call early morning as during the day they tend to be busy.
