Good point...we will keep our appointment and thank God we have one as soon as we did...It is hard when getting this close to accept delays in the process I guess. Her appointment is Thursday Oct. 24th. Is Friday the 18th too late to get her medical then her CFO Monday the 21st since she needs to travel to Manila?

We're in a similar predicament... all that was open for me (i've checked multiple times last few days) was NEXT WEEK Sep 10-12! Wanna trade?? hahaha.... im hoping something shows up sooner or later in Oct or later this month at least!!

PM me if you want to talk more...

Embassy states on their website to do the medical about 5 - 7 days before interview. I would recommend doing it on the 17th as the medical is a 2 day process and the 18th of Oct is a Friday, which means waiting until Monday to complete it, leaving only 3 days before the interview... which could cause delays.

While this is true, I have heard/read of many doing interview & medical within few days of each other. For example. Medical Mon/Tue then Interview Thurs or Friday. Sure they may not have your file from SLEC, but at the worst case when USEM does receive it they will just attach it to your approved K-1 Visa :)

So........ long story short if you aint in a rush then feel free doing both in a week as her medical will just be attached to the USEM then visa will be mailed out to you. As a matter of fact this is what me and my hubby will be doing too! Cuz it's a big hassle/waste of time to go to Manila twice (from Davao mind you!!) when it can easily be done in 1 week! LIke i said though, PM me if you want more detail - happy to help :)

Yup you can do the interview without medical being in the file at the embassy (it happens, just not the smartest idea) and the delay if you medical is not in the file for the interview can get quite long. There are two here on the forum just recently that ran into extended delays because of the medical not making it to their file at the embassy before the interview.

'How long have their delays been? What's their names so i can message them?

Typically, how long after meds over does it take though for USEM to get the results? I dont think it takes 1 week, does it? What's the SOONEST?

You can push your luck and try to do the interview right after the exam, but I wouldn't. It HAS worked out for a few, but it is also likely to cause a delay. Why take the risk, if you don't HAVE to do them back-to-back? Some feel the need to because of long travel times, so the risk is worth it to them.

Amazing how some new arrivals here have all the answers, and don't want to hear the advice of folks who have been doing this for a long while.

She has been waiting over a month now, and still waiting.

Sorry to hear that Leon. Hopefully fruit girl is wise enough to heed your situation and stop giving out bad advice.

Huh? I wasn't talking about our situation lol. We haven't even had the interview yet.

I was just answering the person's question as to how long the person on here who had an interview and the USEM hadn't received the medical yet (or matched it up anyways). She was put on AP and has been waiting now for a month and still counting last I heard.

Hmmmm, I guess she wasn't part of the MANY that got their medicals attached to their approved K1 visa. I guess it adds a delay to the process. Sorry for her.

I scheduled my appointment last Sept. 1, the only available dates for me were Sept. 5, 10, 11 and 12 and Oct. 28 and 29. Just to be safe, I've chosen Oct 28th since I haven't undergone medical yet that time, now I am done and I passed. Thank God. What I am going to do now is just complete the requirements for interview while I check and wait for available dates displayed in the dashboard.
