We have scheduled our interview in Manila for Oct. 24th because that was the earliest date the calander showed. There was no other available dates the rest of the year....Why is this?? We called to reschedule and they said we need to cancel the Oct. 24th first or they could not see if anything earlier was available...Should we risk our spot on Oct. or cancel and hope for last week in Sept. or first week in Oct.??? Please advise.. Anone have have trouble getting an appointment for interview in a timely matter?? Like in 2 or 3 weeks?? It seems 7 was kind of long to wait. Thank you for your help.

Nooo..dont cancel it coz in that case u might get a farther date...since thats the date that showed as the earliest among the available dates well that means sept and early oct slots were already closed..

The person on the phone looks at the same information you do, which is why they can't see other dates available without you cancelling your exiting interview. Regarding for available dates, I seriously doubt their will be anything earlier as the flooding causes lots of backlog. I would not cancel your date, the second you cancel it another can grab it and you will be SOL in more ways than just one.

Perhaps it's not that they are full in the future, just not opened up yet. Kinda like your doctor's office, they only open a certain window for appointements, and advance said window as policy allows.

Good point...we will keep our appointment and thank God we have one as soon as we did...It is hard when getting this close to accept delays in the process I guess. Her appointment is Thursday Oct. 24th. Is Friday the 18th too late to get her medical then her CFO Monday the 21st since she needs to travel to Manila?

The medical should be done at least a week before the interview, so Friday the 18th before a 24th interview is probably not a good idea, especially since day 2 of the medical wouldn't be until after the weekend, on the 21st.

It's puzzling that you found the 24th to be the only date available in 2013. Makes me wonder what others are doing when scheduling theirs'. One poster seems to be having constant trouble scheduling hers at all and maybe that is why.

Yes I am puzzled too...However I'm not giving up our date to risk an earlier one at this point. Some were saying 4 days was plenty of time however I will play it safe on having her go by the Thursday before on the 12th. The second day of medical? Do you mean the CFO? Or is the medical 2 days?

Embassy states on their website to do the medical about 5 - 7 days before interview. I would recommend doing it on the 17th as the medical is a 2 day process and the 18th of Oct is a Friday, which means waiting until Monday to complete it, leaving only 3 days before the interview... which could cause delays.

Yes, the medical is usually 2 days. Sometimes, depending on how busy they are, they will grant the first 10 in line an opportunity to finish it all in just one day. But you have to pretty much show up at 4 AM for that spot, IF they are granting it that day.

Medical is a 2 day process?? She needs to plan on 2 days at St. Lukes??

Yes, the tests and exam are conducted on the first day, the results and immunizations given on the second day.
