I wouldn't worry about it. My ex told me she was on an F-1 visa when we got married. What she didn't tell me was that she NEVER attended a day of school and instead worked illegally for three years before finding some sucker to marry her. Before the marriage happened though, she was also arrested for shoplifting (before she had a green card) and her conviction on this offense didn't trigger anything from USCIS either. Unfortunately I found out she had never attended classes 3 years later when she was applying for student aid (and got it!). Of Course she also never mentioned the first arrest on the I-485

After the green card, and shortly after getting the conditions lifted on her initial 2 year card she got convicted of another shoplifting charge. Since then she has acquired three additional shoplifting convictions.

So you see, the current administration is not checking anything anyway. At our interview, my ex was never asked about her school attendance or any previous arrests. Instead, she was able to pull this over on USCIS the same way she was able to pull it over on me.

So I really wouldn't worry about the interview anyway. Its obvious they don't check anything anyway.

So your ex lied about her arrest/conviction in I-485.

Shop lifting is a Crime Involving Moral Turpitude or CIMT. Her AOS could be denied for that.

Well, USCIS might not catch it during AOS. But your ex would be in deep trouble(CIMT and material misrepresentation) if she ever applies for US Citizenship.

Karma will bite back twice as bad.

No, unfortunately they still won't do anything. She was denied citizenship in 2010 based on her first two shoplifting convictions but still kept her green card. Card needs to be renewed in 2019 and by that time 5 years will have passed (just) so if she doesn't do anymore (unlikely) she'll get citizenship and most likely resume her criminal career.

I'll say it again, this administration is not at all interested in enforcing our immigration laws (or any other laws it seems).

everyday i check uscis.gov to see my status, my heart beats faster! i-485 form is received at 09/16 and the status is still "Acceptance". Is there something wrong? Because at the definition paragraph it says "The acceptance step is typically completed within 2 business days of when the application is received."

or am i becoming paranoid? i checked from iglor's list and now i feel worse. ppl who sent their files after me, already received NOA2 :((
