As you now know, the church inquired into the disagreement between scientists and backed up Big "G"... it wasn't until he went on to a matter concerning the Pope that he ran into trouble, he chose house arrest, he could have just left the church.

I would suggest the Pope was more kind then than most other scientists.... then and now.

Read about the entire affair, not the synopsis given in the Galileo wiki. Use the "Galileo affair" wiki I posted earlier. It goes into more detail. What he did to the pope, was suggest planets rotated around the sun. Plus, he was a bit of a ####### and other scientists didn't like him. So they tired to use this to get rid of him.

Sounds like your problem is with teaching theories.

Don't the people in any local have the right to include any number of theories in the classroom.

It's not like the theory of evolution is getting side-tracked or pushed out, it simply includes a theory which does answer the questions Evolution can't yet.

Yes but the answers have to have some basis in reality.. Any person here can answer any question ever put forth since the beginning of time if no logic or proof is required.

Historically I proved the opposite to be true, unless you can name for me a list of

-Great men of science not trained in Church institutions ... (often their research was funded by the church.)

-Name for me the Places in the world where Religion was not so dominate and tell us about the explosion of science that took place there?

-Even today, the Student schooled at home or in a Catholic or private school is more more advanced in the Sciences than a Public schooled kid though his education cost 2=3 times More and he has no Religion hindering his learning.

-Consider almost all our most top-shelf historic Universities, who founded them? A: The "enemies of education".

So we know Christians have invested in Education, where were the Non-religious at the time and why were they not interested in furthering science?

How does 'science' work? That makes no sense. Science is the study of the physical world, so saying it works is nonsensical. I realise you have read bits and pieces about the 'logic' of science, but just because there is a philosophical argument about the limits of human reasoning and how these impact on our ability to undertake scientific study and interpret data, that doesn't mean that everything achieved as a result of scientific endeavor can be dismissed as illogical as you seem to be doing.

well of course Germany gave us Doctor Mangle but in truth the thousand year party was so short, they hardly had time to process any "new men" all the great scientist where basically schooled in (again) religious institutions.

Now the Soviets was a bit different, they had formed an Atheist machine which was not only erased religion but injected Atheist doctrine in it's place.

We could point out the unheard of slaughter of millions of people in the process but lets stick to science.

Before WW2 there was not science to brag of (or hardly mention)

Afterwards,

The Soviets harvested Scientists from Germany and did come up with a few advancements but nothing we could call a "power house" of science... even with the Church trained Germans grafted in.

Ironically we find science flourishes in places where other things work, such as social stability, a certain measure of research liberty.

You could birth children of the brightest I.Q. in Niger but without the social structure to support them, you have nothing.
