On 23 August 2014 we checked the USCIS Website for an update on our Case Status and discovered Both our AP and EAD were approved.

We recieved the combo card in via mail on 30th August 2014.

I check the USCIS Website diligently lol.

For those of us at the AOS point of the stage, how long did it take to receive the EAD/AP card once it was mailed out? Thanks!

My EAD jumped from Initial review to Card production today. I-485 is still in acceptance though. Our case was transferred to Nebraska.

I-129F AOS & EAD

09.23.2013- I-129F package sent via USPS 07.25.2014- Sent I-485, I-765

09.25.2013- package received 07.28.2014- Received by USCIS

09.30.2013- check cashed 07.31.2014- Text & email confirmation

09.30.2013- NOA1 (email & text) 08.03.2014- Received hardcopies NOA

10.01.2013- Alien registration number changed 08.29.2014- Biometrics appointment

10.29.2013- NOA2 heart.gif 10.10.2014- EAD card production

11.01.2013- NOA2 hardcopy received 10.20.2014- EAD card received

11.26.2013- NVC Case number assigned 10.20.2014- Received notice of interview appointment (AOS)

12.02.2013- NVC forwarded to embassy 11.24.2014- Interview (Approved)

12.19.2013- Email from embassy asking for beneficiary's contact info 12.03.2014- Green card received

12.23.2013- Email from embassy for additional documents to be submitted (packet 3)

01.15.2014- Medical

01.22.2014- Documents completed and sent

Hey VJ Family,

I truly hope everyone is doing fine. We're just checking in to provide a quick update on our case.

Recently got back from travelling with AP to my home country I must admit it went smoothly.

We recieved a letter dated September 25 2014 indicating "Notice of Potential Interview Wavier Case"

It further states "Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case.

Presently we anticipate that deay to be approximately 6 months from the date of this letter"

Our case is being processed at Nebraska Service Center.

We're truly thankful to this wonderful site, and to all you amazing people here in VisaJourney (L)

Season Greetings VJ community,



Our Notice of Waiver letter is dated 25th September 2014.


Today I checked USCIS website and saw:


"On December 5, 2014, we updated your name for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status......"


Can this be hope they are looking to issue us the Green Card soon lol. They certainly have our file open! Fingers crossed for a positive outcome soon. :clock:

Hey everyone!

Quick update:

In 5 days it will be exactly 6 months since we received the letter saying it will take 6 months to process and we heard nothing yet...

Last update was on April 11. I called Dec 6 and I was supposed to hear something back from them by Dec 28 and again.....nothing.

So I will be calling once again today! I better get answers!! :ranting:

Just received the below notification yesterday on the AOS:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On January 17, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number ..., and will mail it to the address you gave us

Kinda strange because last action was biometrics back in October, haven't had an interview yet. We already received the EAD combo card and received notification that there was an RFE for the AP back in December, we hadn't received the RFE yet so I filed a service request last week for them to resend the RFE. Is it possible that they just went ahead and issued the green card even though we haven't had an interview?

Congratulations to gargravaar and everyone else that has recieved their green card. Annie and I are still waiting. No update since the letter we recieved in August stating it will be another 6 months.

Hey guys our last update was Dec 5th 2014 which indicated my name was updated on our case. We requested by letter all further correspondence and processing be issued in my married name in July 2014. it would be 6 months on March 25th 2015 since receiving the Interview Waiver Letter. We are hoping the green card is issued soon. Wishing everyone positive vibes and good luck. All the best.

Well, we finally got an update on the AOS. They said the application was incomplete and we need to provide more evidence that we live together.

They want evidence that covers the whole time sure has been here up to today. Not sure how to provide that.
