Patiently... We've tried to orchestrate this carefully, but with some NOA2 coming so quickly, it's a toss up. I'm almost certain it won't happen to us as I appear to be a longest line magnet. We were routed to Texas as well. Hopefully it's soon. I love my frequent trips to Scotland, but I'm ready to get this show on the road!

Some people do seem to get approved very quickly. I know that some of them are military whose request are given priority. I think others are just lucky. I will be happy if it is approved within the time it is supposed to take. Today I am just hoping to see my file date updated.

NOA1 received today!

How can I tell which Service Center is processing my paperwork? I sent the application to Texas, but the USCIS Office Address listed at the bottom of my NOA1 is for CSC.

Woo Hoo! I just received this in an e-mail.

"On September 27, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance."

I know it doesn't mean much, but it does mean something...

TrixieStep, You are so right! I think what all of here on VJ have in common is the fact that we have to go through so much to be with the one we love. Not just a long distance relationship and all of the issues that go along with that, but this cumbersome and lengthy immigration process.

Many people have asked my why couldn't I find someone in my own country. I wasn't looking to fall in love with someone from the other side of the planet, it just happened. It certainly would have been easier if the person I fell in love with was already here but that wasn't the case. The most important thing is that I found someone who wants the same things out of life that I do and wants to build a future with me.. I think all of us can relate to that. While this process is long and trying, having my true love eventually here with me makes it all worth the wait. Life is good!

Sent mine the 24th, arrived the 27th. Haven't received the text or email yet, but it was received at 4:40 in the morning Friday, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since it "technically" hasn't been 24 business hours yet.

Did anyone else use the old 129f form? It is supposed to be allowed until Sep 16.

I used and sent it on September 2nd, it was accepted with no problems as long as you sent it before that date.

Any word if the process will be affected by the government shut down? I've been told that if the Service Center isn't a federal building than the affect would be immediately seen. Anyone in the know about this?
