Hi Djv-tco (or anyone that can help rolleyes.gif )

I received my case number today.

Where do I go to fill out the DS-160? I thought I went to the right place but they are asking for an invoice ID number. When I called the DOS back they told me, I will get the invoice number once the package reaches the embassy. I don't think the person I spoke to knew what I was talking about, when I said 'invoice ID number'.

Should I try calling again or do I have to wait till my package is at the US embassy?

Never mind I figured it out. You need to call nvc for the invoice I'd number if you didn't receive it with your case number. I just got it. I wonder why no one mentioned this before as you need it to fill out the ds-160 form.

So I received my NOA2 November 14th for my petition and I still dont have the NVC number. I called DOS today to find out if they have received the pettition since NVC is not much help, they said is been taking longer than usual, then called the USCIS to have them track the case and seems like they still have the case in their hands, USCIS told me that it can take 90-days from the NOA2 for NVC to receive the petition. Are you F*(& kidding me! Is anyone else having this problem? cray5ol.gifcray5ol.gifClockWatch2.gifClockWatch2.gif .

"Up to 8 weeks" was the standard response when we were waiting for our case to go from NOA2 to NVC. It ended up being 4 weeks. I agree that it seems like a ridiculously long wait, but it's not out of the ordinary...hang in there.

We received the USCIS Update that our was shipped to NVC on December 5th and we should contact DoS with any inquiries.

I haven't called to find out the case number yet. I believe we will also receive a letter which states what the case number is and indicating it was shipped to beneficiary local embassy.

Today marks 4 week since my NOA2 approval from CSC, so I decided to call the DOS and check in. I was shocked to get the CASE NUMBER from the DOS. I then called the NVC and also received my Invoice ID Number and Beneficiary ID number. The NVC was a bit more helpful at this stage with information. I was also told that my application had shipped to London today.

The CEAC tracking says "In transit". Can anyone tell me how I will know the embassy has the case, and when can we submit the DS 160?

I was just wondering the same thing, when you can file the DS-160. Our packet still at the NVC but I am hoping things get moving quick.

It will go to "Ready" on CEAC when London has it and have done their magical stuff to it. My fiance just got packet 3 mailed last Thursday and they've had the file since November 25th. They don't seem to get in a hurry to do anything!
